YES! YES!! YES!!! Because she is the mother of your husband and she is the grand mom of your son.

It is narrated by Aby Horayrah: The messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "He who believe in Allah & the last day, must show hospitality to his guest, and He who believe in Allah & the last day, must join the ties of blood relationship and He who believe in the Allah & the last day, must speak good or remain silent",

{Al-Bokhary and Moslim}

and remember good go for good and vice-versa so when you keep away your inlaw from is son and grand son, your son's wife too will do that to you even thought you are the most believing woman. Oh, Allah i seek your forgiveness. Allahu alam

@ Sister

Why have you created an other post with same question sister?

If your husband has not embraced Islam then your Nikah (Marriage) according to islam is invalid. You can not live with him.

O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them, Allah knows best as to their Faith, then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers, they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them. But give the disbelievers that (amount of money) which they have spent [as their Mahr] to them. [Holy Qur'an 60:10]

Mahr: mahr is the amount to be paid by the groom to the bride at the time of marriage (nikah)

And do not marry polytheistic men [to your women] until they believe. And a believing slave is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you. [Holy Qur'an 2:221]

Your son will remain your son no matter which religion he practices. So, if the non-believing family of your husband is bad with your son, you have all right to take your son with you. Both you and your husband has right over your child.
