The name of the religion is Islam, which comes from an Arabic root word meaning"peace" and"submission." Islam teaches that one can only find peace in one's life bysubmitting to Almighty God (Allah) in heart, soul and deed. The same Arabic root word gives us"Salaam alaykum," ("Peace be with you"), the universal Muslim greeting. Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For a fifth of the world's population, Islam is both a religion and a completeway of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, andthe majority have nothing to do with the extremely grave events which have come to be associated with their faith.In Islam, faith and good worksgo hand-in-hand. A mere verbal declaration of faith is not enough, for beliefin Allah makes obedience to Him a duty. The Muslim concept of worshipis very broad. Muslims consider everything they do in life to be an act of worship,if it is done according to Allah's guidance. There are also five formal acts of worship which help strengthen a Muslim's faith and obedience. They are often called the"Five Pillars of Islam." . Testimony of faith ( Shahaadah or Kalima ) . If you want to gain knowledge of Islam then I would advice you to search for Islamic Lectures on Youtube, as these provide the quickest method to learn about Islam. My favorite speakers are Zakir Naik, Noman Ali Khan and Yousuf Estees. However, The best sources are free islamic books which are in abundant on internet and It would be better if you take some time out to read islamic books. Sorry, but I didn't read last post before namaz hence not done dua for you. But InshaAllah I will do dua for you in next namaz. InshaAllah you will buy laptop in march and me too in july after getting admitted in Engineering colleges. Please dua for my better result in 12th board in your namaz.
