As-salaam alaykun. It is haram in islam to eat an animal that ALLAH's name has not been invoked upon before it was killed, but what of the parcels of meat we buy in the public market which we didn't know may be it was killed by muslims or non-muslims? Please i need urgent answer beacause that question troubles my mind a lot. May allah bless you all.

You can not eat the flesh of any animal who is not Halal or on whom the name of Allah (S.W.T) was not invoked while slaughtering. It's easy, you can ask while buying "Is it Halal or not" and most of the time shops which sell Halal Food, "Halal" is written somewhere on their wall.

But if you still doubt somehow, you can buy Fish because as per the command of Allah (S.W.T) we don't say the Name of Allah (S.W.T) on Fish.
