Assalam Alaykum. I'm a 13 year old boy, who has a younger brother (12 years old). I stated in one of my questions in that it was my biggest dream to make him a wee educated, and a religious boy, with good foreknowledge. But, everything is going opposite. My brother loves computer games, and he never stops playing them. He plays computer games (Violence, blood, and crime rated games) every free second he got. Whenever I tell my parents about it, they say "He's still young. He's not even a teen, like you. Let him play right now, when he grows up a little bit, InshAllah everything will be good." They keep telling me this since last year. Whenever I try to teach him something, he ignores me, and when I say that in bad way, he screams in my face. I feel like abandoning my dream, since I have noting left to do.

I have a similar issue with my younger sister, she spends a lot of her spare time playing on the wii, watching TV shows that are corrupted and listening to music.

It is difficult and I don't want to come across as pushy and judgmental when I do dawah, but what I'd suggest is exposing your brother to Islam so that he takes an interest in religion Insha'Allah. when you're together and have some spare time put on an islamic tv show, give him islamic books that you think would be useful to him, go to islamic lectures together etc. Also, try to spend time with him and develop your relationship, the closer you are the easier it will be to encourage him to get involved in Islam with you.

It's something i'd like to do with my family as well. And seek help in Allah (swt) and don't give up! Well done by the way, it's admirable that you're trying hard to help him :)

Your best helper is Allah subhana WA taala . Seek him in guidance for your brother. And never give up. Because a good Muslim wants for his brother what he wants for himself.

Salam alaykum, I want to plead with you not to stop in your quest to make him change towards the right path for the sake of Allah(SWT). Besides him being your brother, you owe every muslim the duty to remind them about the existence of Allah(SWT) as it is part of the obligations of being a faithful muslim. May Allah(SWT) reward you and strenghten your imaan more. Ma salaam.
