Salam, I was just wondering. Do Muslims have to memorize the Quran, or do we have to memorize most of it? |

Salam . Muslims only have to memorize sura fatiha and any other short sura like sura ikhlas as a minimum. But memorizing the quran has been encouraged. I have read somewhere that the body of a hafiz(the person who learns quran by heart )who has followed Allah and his prophet's(blessings from ALLAH be upon him) orders will not get rotten after he dies . hafizes are respected in this world and in the world hereafter. So everyone should try to memorize the quran completely. |

Wa Alaikum..A muslim has to memorize Quran as well as Reciting Quran and understanding Quran and to follow Quranic Orders. |
