What does this Hadith mean? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “A (true) Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe; and a Muhajir (Emigrant) is he who leaves the deeds which Allah has prohibited.”

I think it means Muslim to Muslim our tongues and hands don't cause harm to each other. And when we leave and do not do things Allah subhana WA taala has prohibited we become emigrants to our old ways , old life. Is what I understand from it. Allah subhana WA taala knows best.

Muhajir means /those who do Hijrah with the Prophet sal ALLAHU ALAIHI WA SALLAM from Mecca to Medina/ so there can never Muhajir again,AND ALLAH SUBHANA WAT'ALA BLESS THE MUHAJIR AND ANSOR/those who welcome the Muhajir to Medina/.IN THE QURAN.So we that are in the world now, for us to be a Muhajir we should leave deeds which ALLAH SUBHANA WAT'ALA FORBIDS,PROHIBITS FOR US. The first one is that A true muslim is the one that from whose tongue and hand other muslims are safe.i.e other muslims are safe from the evil of his tongue and hand. HE doesnt backbite and slander other muslims, doesnt cause them harm.
