Salaam Alaikum, Do you read the bible? What proof do some who call themselves "Muslim" have that the bible is "corrupt"?

If you have any issues with the former scriptures, why not present your questions here? Salaam.

What was the purpose of the revelation of the Quran? It was sent to affirm the true religion because the nation before have deviated that is why a the last messenger was sent.

Allaah has told us in the Qur'aan the stories of the earlier and later generations and the creation of the heavens and the earth. He has explained in detail what is halaal and what is haraam, the basics of good manners and morals, the rulings of worship and dealings with others, the lives of the Prophets and the righteous, and the reward and punishment of the believers and disbelievers. He has described Paradise, the abode of the believers, and He has described Hell, the abode of the disbelievers. He has made it (the Qur'aan) an explanation of all things: وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ "One day We shall raise from all Peoples a witness against them, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring thee as a witness against these (thy people): and We have sent down to thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims." [al-Nahl 16:89]

In this verse Allah says we have sent down this book explaining everything. The Quran is then sufficient just from this verse. But I will further elaborate because it's seems your creed in Islam is corrupted. Who has justified what you have said. All the major scholar who have studied for years in the field of Quran do not look into the other scriptures.rather how can they look into contradictory books that assumes that ISA was the son of god, or god himself.how can you as a Muslim justify these books to be correct or to even use the verse.

people of earlier communities, such as the Children of Israel and the Christians who received the Holy Bible, failed to preserve the clarity and purity of their divine scriptures, i.e. the Torah and the Bible were subject to much corruption and distortion that introduced human intervention into them. Such distortions and corrupt texts are what the Muslims reject, as they come from a human source and not Allah.

There is no doubt that the original form of the Tawrah and the Injeel were revealed from Allaah The Almighty and were His true words. However, both the Jews and the Christians distorted and altered them; by addition or deletion. They made many different versions of each book.  Each of those copies contradicts and falsifies the others. Therefore, the truth was confused with falsehood in these books. Only through our preserved Sharee'ah (Islamic law) can we differentiate between them.  Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran and indeed, We will be its guardian.} [Quran 15: 9]   The Quran is sufficient for Muslims and they do not need to consult any other book of religion.  In this regard, Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {We have not neglected in the Book a thing.} [Quran 6: 38]

Lastly their are any contradictions and version in the bible. There is not the original copy so how can u rely on other scriptures when we have the Quran

"He who holds on firmly to my Sunnah at a time when my Ummah are (grovelling) in corruption will receive a reward of a hundred martyrs."

You should definitely read the Bible. It is a masterpiece of literature. The Bible is not Quran, so it is not to be accepted as a governing Book; however, it should be treated as any other book: valuable for the knowledge acquired. Assalamu alaykum.

Some versions have missing or added chapters. different versions use different words and numbers. All bibles are not exactly the same.

@jook I have posted many questions and showed many contradictions and Scientific errors in Bible here, but I think you haven't read them. And I can not post them every week in a new topic because people are just making new accounts with different usernames just to start the debate from zero and to hid their embarrassment.

Second thing, I noticed that you are portraying yourself a Muslim but you are a complete supporter of Christians. So I want to ask you that please clear your status, who are you? Christian or Muslim?

I am a Muslim, and there is no place where I am "supporting" Christians... I bring up things from the scriptures which Allah has revealed. Does that make me a Christian? No. Am I bringing up things from "hadeeths" that Allah has not decreed? No. Are you?

If it makes you uncomfortable, well that is your problem, seeing as, a lot of you don't find God's scriptures that are in The Bible, to be true.

Where are the so called "Scientific errors"?

The original 66 book cannon is truth. The Word has much to do with Isa son of Maryum, yet do you not understand?

You need to stop looking at things as if every instance of a word used in a simple language called English has the same meaning in context as every other instance, just because a word is spelled the same. For instance "Son" is not the same as "son" used in scripture. If you have ever read in the new testament, any mention of Jesus being the "Son of God", did you ever even look up that word "Son" in a concordance?

How would someone who calls themselves a "Muslim" even know what the concept of Faith is, without ever hearing the biblical interpretation of Faith?

Biblical, does not mean Christian.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Without having ever heard that scripture, does a person just "have faith to understand what faith is"?

Come on now, are you a human or a beast? The bible has very much to offer that God could teach you if He willed, yet many rather follow "hadeeths" which have never been proven to be inspired by God.

Qur'an

31:6 But there are, among men those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a humiliating Penalty.

Are you one of those men? Allah knows the hearts of all men.

Peace be with you believers.

A parable found in The Book of Matthew:

1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Will you have the evidence of Allah's Word which is found in the Bible, found in you?

Will I have the truth of what The Qur'an teaches found in me, even if I could not speak or understand Arabic?

Will you be prepared when The Day of The Lord comes?

I read the translation of The Qur'an, is that not enough if that is what Allah has decreed for me, for now?

Salaam.

@jook It is one thing to read the bible, but never can one who is muslim look for guidance from the bible.I have read your comments and I suggest you make tauba, how can you say that the concept of faith comes from the bible. Now lets investagate your claim inshallah, first and foremost for the muslim the concept of faith comes from Allah swt and His Messenger sws,I believe you should know of the hadeeth reported on the authority of Ummar ibn Kittab that the angel Jibril As ask the Rasul sws what was Iman, and the Rasul sws did not answer with what you qouted from the bible. Also, you must remember this one crucial fact,Allah azza wal jall has stated in the qur'an,"Your companion is netither astray nor being misled, nor does he say aught of his own desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him:He was taught by one mighty in power."(sura 53:2-5) Now, Allah swt has stated that the Rasul sws did not speak on his own what came from his mouth was by inspiration from Allah swt,so what he said to the angel was from Allah swt.The book of hebrew in the bible is an epistle(meaning a letter) from Paul.Bear in mind that there is 27 books in the so called New testament twenty two are EPISTLES(meaning letters)and Paul wrote fourteen of them.the thing about Paul is what he stated in one of his letters and I quote,"For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?"(romans 3:7) This is one of the reasons why we should not look to the bible for guidance, for Allah swt has completed his favor on mankind with the coming of the Rasul sws, never can you accept anyhting from a self confessed liar. All praise be to Allah,I have written a book entitled "Hellenism" that I am giving away for free all I ask of the reader is to copy it in its entirety and pass it along freely,in this book I have covered all the topics surrounding CHRISTIANITY,AND THE BIBLE WITH TEXTUAL PROOFS.I suggest you read this book,if you want it hit me at maelmuhaamad@yahoo.com May Allah guide you.

you completely left out part of that verse of Romans. Did you do that on purpose?

That verse contains a quote yet you didn't use the whole verse.

7 Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?”

So why are you trying to deceive?

That was completely out of context.
