Hi! What does the following Hadith mean? A place in Paradise as small as a bow is better than all that on which the sun rises and sets (i.e. all the world).’ He also said, ‘A single endeavor in Allah’s Cause in the afternoon or in the forenoon is better than all that on which the sun rises and sets.

Salaam alaykum. Ok I am going to try to the best of my knowledge to answer. Now the first one is saying what is says really. That such a small space of jannah is better than all this world we know. Now the second part lets first look at the word endeavor, it means to make efforts or to strive for something. In this case its for Allah subhana WA ta'ala. Why its saying the times of day forenoon and afternoon I am not sure. There has to reason why this part is meaningful. Insha Allah we will hear from other members as well :)

salaam, the apparent meaning of this hadith is in the following: a single endeavour in allah's cause(Working to earn solvent money for family expenses ) is better if it do in early morning . you should begin your work in early morning, not in afternoon or forenoon.
