It is fard, I will provide the evidence later except on the condition that he is not able to grow it. since I'm in school. Many people say it is sunnah, however the sunnah can be categorized into 5 sections. Haram, makrooh, Mubah, mustahab, and fard. Growing the beard is fard and there are plenty of evidence for it

I agree that growing the beard is fard, and the strongest proof confirms this. But some many think that it is sunnah,to be able to grow the beard and not to, makes this one fasiq, which is a sin

It is Sunnah, an act of the prophet Muhameed (SAW) The Prophet said, "Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short"

Also according to all imam`s to shave the beard is without doubt haraam.

If one cannot grow their hair or does not have any facial hair than it is not a sin on him.
