Dear Sir I am a muslim from Pakistan and my wife is a white British. However she is very rude and beats me up many times. She is always threatening me to take me to the police on charges of rape and saying that she will leave me and also take away my kids and also take away my money. She is also not allowing me to make namaz or go the mosque. I am becoming very depressed and do not know what to do. In such a circumstance what should I do? I sometimes also have suicidal feelings pls advise urgently

As-salamu 'alaikum. What kind of man are you? Stop listening to your wife. Beat her if you have to. She should be divorced. A husband should be the controller of his wife. Don't stop going to the mosque or offering salat just because of her. Listen. Man up. Divorce her immediately. This kind of woman is not what a muslim husband should have. If this is happenning because you are financialy dependant on her, then after divorcing try to find a work. How can you give up namaz just because of her? Do you know that we are not allowed to miss a single salat without any serious reason? Make up your prayers and forget her completely. If she accuses you of rape, what evidence does she have? It is better to have no wife instead of her.

Dear Sir thanks for your suggestions. I tried to confront my wife but she called her father who is a policeman and both of them punched me and I have been admitted in the hospital. Her father is threatening that given the anti-muslim sentiments in the country he will get me arrested on charges of terrorism if I dare act smart again. Then even tore up the my Holy Quran. Pls do advise what to do in this circumstance, I do not even have many friends in the UK and am all alone.

If your life is at stake for living with your wife then why are you living with her? And not only that, that man tore up the Qur'an! He should be punished. Just because he is a policman doesn't mean that he will not let you follow you religion. If possible, take you belongings and leave that country. Go to Arab or a muslim country where you will be safe.

Dear Sir thanks. When I went and asked for divorce from my wife, her father has actually carried out his threat and arrested me on charges of domestic violence. He knows all the policemen in the jail and they are treating me very badly. They are even writing to my employer to fire me from my job, as I am cab driver. I think once I get released I will travel back to Peshawar and start my life anew. Thanks for your help and dua.

Dear Sir I am getting into further trouble. They have released me from the prison but my wife and her father have locked me in a room and are telling me to either become a Christian and accept my wife and children or be locked in prison. I am a Pathan and in my community we do not have Christians if my father came to know that I had become Christian he may commit suicide. I do not have access to internet and am writing only from my mobile. I love my children and family but I also love my religion. Do advise what I should decide and tell them. They have given me 2 days to decide.

ESCAPE BROTHER ESCAPE! Now's your chance. You shouldn't accept christianity even if they kill you. They are your enemies. You don't need to live with them. Whatever belongings you have take them and ESCAPE from that dungeon. I manage a plan for you IshaaAllah. Whatever you do don't kill them or suicide or join christianity. Can you give me more details about the room you are locked in and the things you can access?

Salam brother I just wanted to say that I am also a pathan and I would sincerely advise you to try and escape ,try to make contact with other pathans to help you escape(maybe explain the situation to them and tell them to contact the police) I would have loved to help but I live miles away. I believe that this is a test from god and if you escape without harming anyone and your self them you will truly get a big reward. I would advice that you give your informationto brother Muhammad and inshallah he will help you. Remember you are not alone. I wish you good luck.

Describe the room you are in, does it have windows that can be broken for you to escape? The only way you can get out of this miserable situation is for you to escape. Brake a window and run away, then go to the mosque, walk it to there if you have to. Just wait for the right time to brake the window, then run away, there is no other way since the room is locked. I honestly hope the best for your escape and inshallah you will succeed later on.
