WElcome ,,

I Advice you to leave her up .. if you get married her , you gonna face problems in your life and after you death .. who will reared children after you ? Sure your wife ! So she is shia implies she gonna reared the ,,, children on the religion of shia ! and also implies your children will reared and grow up on insulting the companions of Prophet Mohammad "pace be upon Him" and your children will insult Prophet's wife Mother of the Believers Aisha ! What will you say to Allah in "The day of Qiamah" if asked you why married this one girl while you known she will reared your child on like this religion ?

Take my advice seriously .. i'll talk about my self If i want to marry , I will get married someone i known her faith and religion , so After i death I reassured my wife will reared my children on the religion of Allah !

In the end the choice is yours . Choose the best and the safety for you and for your Future and Remeber sometimes you love something and you don't know that thing is not good for you !

{ وَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْ }

Don't forget to do {Estikhaarah} Allah won't lost you if you trust in him

Be carefull , You will see in the comments some of them will say "There is no difference between us sunni and shia" resbone him by these Questions :

What is the thing prevent you to be sunni ?

Why you insulting the companions who transferred the Quran ?

Why you insulting Prophet's wife Mother of the Believers Aisha and who is married her is the prophet mohammad !

And There are a lot of Questions proving that the shia has Independent religion Don't belong to islam !

As salamu alaikum dear brother. You say you have differences now regarding your deen, and are you willing to continue having differences throughout your life? You have not even begun your life together as husband and wife and already you can see that things are not going to be easy. Parents in law and how to bring up children will be your big challenges. Don't think that your in laws will be agreeable by-standers, approving that their grandchildren are brought up as Sunni.

And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:

Allah desires ease for you, and desires not hardship' (2:185);

Remember what our beloved and wise prophet did when faced with easier and difficult options:

Aishah (ra) said: "Whenever the Prophet (saw) had to choose between two options, he always opted for the easier choice." (Al-Bukhari)

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) stated:

Whosoever obeys me (Muhammad (saw)  - is obedient to Allah - And whosoever disobeys me (Muhammad (saw)  - is disobedient to Allah - Bukhaari & Muslim

Now what you have to decide is whether you wish to

a) spend your life with someone who has been taught that the innovative practices are the truth even though these people have deviated from the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

b) choose the more difficult path and be challenged throughout your marriage

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala guide you in your decision. Please perform istikhaara and be patient in receiving the guidance.

This is your future and your decision will shape many things to come and you need to protect yourself from deviating from the straight path.

Assalam alaiykum, There should be no confusion. My comment is clear but if it requires clarification, here it is: The Sunni muslims are following the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and the Rasul saw's Sunnah. The Shia are upon bidah. Salaam

Assalam Alaiykum. Who is saying those things sister? You jump to conclusions in a haphazard way. I structured my answer in this way so as to maintain the questioner’s focus of the two: sunni and shia. My response to you was a broad statement.

We know that sects are many and that the best of Muslim’s are those who strive to follow our Beloved Prophet Mohammed Salallahu Allahi Wa Salaam’s way As-Salaf as-Saalih (The people of the past, namely the first three generations of pious muslims during and after the revelation of the Qur'an, i.e.the Sahabah (companions) of the Prophet, saaws , the Taabi'een (followers) and the Taabi Taabi'een (followers of the followers).)

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah Mu’minoon verse 52-54: And you all belong to one and the same ummah, and I(Allah) am your Lord; so fear Me Alone! Yet afterwards the people divided themselves into different sects, and each sect rejoicing in what it has. Well, leave them deeply involved in their heedlessness up to an appointed time. Allah declares that this Ummah of Islam is One Ummah, Many of us claim NO sect. Salaam

No my brother I don't accept what you say for it is not the haqq. As soon as I have the textual proofs to back me up I will refute you and your school of thought. Insha Allah. Salaam

Dear sister, I am not in need of your acceptance. You are however welcome to present the haqq. Salaam

I agree with @stronghold..

@ Sadie As far as differing w.r.t interpretation of text goes like whether celebrating Miladunnabi is right or wrong,One may put forth his argument in favour/against based on interpretation and misinterpretation of text but when it comes to maligning the proven one like calling aisha a kafira[naudhubillah]or Umar as killer of Fatima or Abu bakr as apostate {May Allah save us from such thought}then it becomes much more serious.Do you think differing on issues of Milad un nabi or such same as maligning and disgracing companions and wives of Prophet(peace be upon him).

Question: What's the Difference Between Shia and Sunni Muslims?Answer: Both Sunni and Shia Muslims share the most fundamental Islamic beliefs and articles of faith. The differences between these two main sub-groups within Islam initially stemmed not from spiritual differences, but political ones. Over the centuries, however, these political differences have spawned a number of varying practices and positions which have come to carry a spiritual significance.
