The answer to this question is very simple but those that are of the mindset of shaytan have a problem with the fact that the word in the Arabic in which Allah azza wal jall has used means BLACK! The word is Hamaa in the Arabic and some go as far in translating it as sounding clay in sura 15:26, 55:14, and the word sounding is in brackets meaning that it is not in the Arabia this is someones madhab being pushed or blatant racism, for there is no word used in the aya in the Arabia for the word sounding, "Al Razi said about sura 15:26,: Al-hama means black mud, (Mukhtaaral-sihaah, page 64). It says in Lisaan al-Arab(1/61), "Al hama means black mud. In the Qur'an it says " min hama'in masnoon." And brothers the word masnoon does not mean sounding it means stinking from the word mutin nor does the Arabic word salsaal, for it means: black mud mixed with sand it becomes salsaal "dried mud." And it is a fact that this mud was hama BLACK, the thing to keep in mind is what the shaytan said to Allah, azza wal jall, when he was asked in sura 15:33, " why he didn't bow when he was commanded?" Iblis said," I 'am not going to bow to him in which you have created from dried black mud." Also he said in sura 7:12 in part, " I'am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him you created from clay." Beloved believers, this statement made by our open and confirmed enemy made him the first racist, and any that is upon this mindset is on the path to destruction. Their is a term in Arabic called "ABLASA" and it means:" one who has lost all hope for the Mercy of Allah." This is the position that Iblis has put himself in by being fasiq and a racist, and know he wants nothing less for us. In closing I will leave you with the words of the scholar of tafsir Tabari," As for His words, from hama masnoun; hama is the plural of ham which is mud that has been altered to the COLOR BLACK.... The Qur'an has confirmed that our father Adam AS, was a blackman, and I have no problem with the facts...Salaam

@yusef, your question is very interesting, lets take this approach. Allah azza wal jall has stated that all people come from Adam and Hawa, so when we take that into account we must go into genetics. It is a fact that every thing in creation on earth and throughout the boundless galatical heavens that has color has melanin, and it is also a fact that white people are melanin recessive. But what you asked about is called albinism; Oculocutaneous albinism is a group of conditions that affect pigmentation of the skin, hair, and eyes. Now it is also a fact that two black people can make an albino child, meaning, they are melanin recessive child, but never can two white people make a child with melanin, so to answer your question the white race comes from Adam and Hawa. When Adam and Hawa had children they had twins, one boy and one girl, and this is who married eachother, Able married Cain twin and vice versa, so yes it was sisters and brothers procreating with eachother, this resulted in children being born with the pituitary gland not producing melanin, thus we have the white race. salaam

To make things more interesting: based on genetics, it is highly likely that man originated and spread from Africa...

Assalaamu alaykum. That's good information. Can you provide proofs , resources, citations . Thank you.

(Jul 14 '13 at 03:30) sadie ♦ sadie's gravatar image

I learned it from a course I was taking at UC Davis, it was an upper division Evolution class. We were learning about the genetic diversity of animals and humans. Accordingly, research showed that men and women from Africa were found to be genetically more closely related to one another and the genetic diversity increases with distance from there.

Furthermore, my father was telling me the story of Adam and Hawa (AS) and told me something interesting. He said they were both sent to earth at the same time but to different places. It took them 40 long years, but by the will Allah SWT they were able to follow a sign (I think it was something that fell from the heavens, not 100%), but nonetheless, they met with each other at some place. I've always put 2-and-2 together based on these learnings and thought maybe the place they met could have been somewhere in Africa. Seems likely, I'm NOT saying that's for sure, but it very well could be true.

I would love it if someone could tell the authentic story of the one I mentioned of the meeting of Adam and Hawa (AS) on earth.

answered 11319 def's gravatar image

the information I mentioned about genetics and diversity were all in the book that went along with the course. I am sure the same information could be found in texts supplied for other upper division evolution courses offered at other universities, but i can look back and find the name if you really want.

(Jul 24 '13 at 17:09) def def's gravatar image

Besides, I never said it is the absolute truth. No one will ever know what the true color of Adam AS's skin color was (like it even matters), we are all simply contemplating on the possibilities and reasonings behind those possibilites.

(Jul 24 '13 at 17:12) def def's gravatar image

i agree it is not an absolute truth. there was no adam or eve.

"^ Have you forgotten that the Quran has proven certain sciences over and over again?" like what? the mountains hold down the earth? life begins with a mix of fluids? the leech? the blood clot?

name 5 times? the giant she camel that emerged from between to rocks? the tribes of gog and magog? the giants of arabia? ad? thamud? the jinn?

Mike I really am not interested in chatting it up with you.

(Oct 17 '13 at 17:35) sadie ♦ sadie's gravatar image

Mike I checked out your link and this topic is crucial the implication of the facts has most muslims startled, there are some scholars that go as far as ignore the facts. This is the facts, homo erectus did walk the planet and the time frame they did doesnot line up with evangilist 6000 YEARS or some scholars 49, 000 years. As for me the facts enhances my islam, and my findings after intense study on this subject I choose not to share in this forum. Thanks for the link mike salaam.

(Oct 17 '13 at 19:30) yaqin ♦ yaqin's gravatar image

"some scholars 49, 000 years" by this do you mean islamic scholars or scientist/evolutionist? i always thought homo erectus showed up 55,000. but 6k in the time since the big bang (or since someone said let there be light) is like a minute. and my study of evolution certainly hasn't been intense. i could of swore i read somewhere that an islamic scholar put forth the theory of evolution like 200 years before darwin?

"I choose not to share in this forum" i understand. you never know if you say something here and someone doesn't like, want that might bring down on your head. ;) TGIF.

(Oct 18 '13 at 10:09) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

Yes mike islamic scholars, and the evidence says they and your source is wrong homo erectus showed up millions of years ago. So why is it so important for the powers that be whether islamic, Christian, to place Adam creation in time frames that science disproves with proof? This is the million dollar question!!!

(Oct 18 '13 at 11:45) yaqin ♦ yaqin's gravatar image

my bad got my homos mixed up. i mean homo sapiens, modern man. yes it sates in the article that the skull is dated 1.8 million years. and there are other homo classes befor erectus. and austrialopithacus (something like that) pre-dates the homo class. the question isn't time, it's why would anyone believe that all modern people came from just two individuals and how does the fossil record and race fall into place with the creation story? i mean there are unicorns in the bible. never seen a unicorn skelaton. i mean did adam walk the earth with dinosuars? but yes the first huminods were "black".

(Oct 18 '13 at 12:09) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

not that it matters, right a_mo? they are finding neandrethal dna in people now. so it looks like our ancestors interbreed with an evolutionary deadend. that may explain my stupidity, i might be part neanderthal? or a higher percentage then most?

answered 0544148 UnknownUser's gravatar image

Ask this question to those of the mindset that black people come from the curse noah put on his son kham.

(Oct 18 '13 at 12:43) yaqin ♦ yaqin's gravatar image

of course not. i think the purpose of the discussion is mostly academic. but i think if you can show that we all evolved from blacks then being racist towards blacks would be a kin to hating your ancestors. also a common ancestorial line would mean we are all related to some degree. you know the old, or maybe it's new, there is only one race. the human race.

i cant give u an answer but i dont think it really matters if he was black or white....

answered 163222 a_mohammed's gravatar image

@mohammed I did this because I have dealt with some brothers of Arab, Pakastani decent, which has said to me that their father Adam could never be black, and you and I both know this is do to racism, especially when the Qur'an says different, so basically this mindset is the reason why I capitalize the word black, and brother it does matter when you have a Islamic history that has diminished the contribution of the African to its history. This mindset has lead to the division in the ummah today among those of different ethnicity than black, meaning African. This is the facts....Salaam

answered 8331147 yaqin's gravatar image

its not @mohammed its ****a_mohammed. and i have no problems with black people or any other kind of people but i dont this you need to CAPITALIZE anything to get your point across what happened to "kill them with honey, not vinegar" we are muslims. not arabs or pakistani or blacks or white. we are one ummah "amen" and im a sister thank u salam.

(Jul 06 '13 at 13:58) yaqin ♦ yaqin's gravatar image

so where did the white race come from? the dna for blue eyes and blond hair? do they still teach mendel squares? if all people came from adam and eve, was the thrid generation all a result of incest? so did eve have sex with able and seth, or was it just the brothers and sisters procreating with each other?

Yeah abul rauf your an neandertal then or maybe just a Gibbon? It could be true that your an Gibbon really, for those have long arms and maybe some skills around partying all the time...

Here a little about Gibbon:

Gibbons are apes in the family Hylobatidae /ˌhaɪlɵˈbeɪtɨdiː/. The family historically contained one genus, but now is split into four genera. Gibbons occur in tropical and subtropical rainforests from northeast India to Indonesia and north to southern China, including the islands of Sumatra, Borneo, and Java. Also called the lesser apes, gibbons differ from great apes (chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, bonobos and humans) in being smaller, exhibiting low sexual dimorphism, in not making nests, and in certain anatomical details in which they superficially more closely resemble monkeys than great apes do. But like all apes, gibbons evolved to become tailless. Gibbons also display pair-bonding, unlike most of the great apes. Gibbons are masters of their primary mode of locomotion, brachiation, swinging from branch to branch for distances of up to 15 m (50 ft), at speeds as high as 55 km/h (34 mph). They can also make leaps of up to 8 m (26 ft), and walk bipedally with their arms raised for balance. They are the fastest and most agile of all tree-dwelling, non-flying mammals. Depending on species and gender, gibbons' fur coloration varies from dark to light brown shades, and anywhere between black and white. It is rare to see a completely white gibbon. Gibbon species include the siamang, the white-handed or lar gibbon, and the hoolock gibbons.

So abul rauf your really fast then... You can get upto 34mph and thats good. If you ran over seas to visit people would you do it?

No no no it could not be true, abul rauf a Atheist and neanderthal.. No its just a Atheist really... But it could be that it is true, for monkeys and apes dont have a belief in something. They just go around and want something like a banana... So could be that he is a Gibbon, but I know he is not... He is a white kid with ok or good enough school education and a person with meanings to say. Maybe he plays games a lot, just in his spare time.

(Oct 18 '13 at 12:45) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

thanks boss, i've seen gibbons. yeah they swing like you wouldn't believe. i sat there for 10 minutes and watched this mother with a baby swing all over the place. i thought for sure that baby wouldn't be able to hold on. but no, it was just fine. then the mother stopped and hung by two fingers, like 40 feet in the air. again i thought no way she can hold on like that, and again wrong.
