Commiting suicide is strictly forbidden in Islam and there is no exception. Religion is a matter that every person should research about it and choose it himself and choosing or changing religion under pressure is not acceptable. So in such a situation the kafir's effort is vain because if the person says that he changed his religion, his religion won't be changed really.
