Wa'alaykum salam warahmatuLLAH. I will say that you should try and do 2 things daily and ALL DUA RECCOMENDED TO US BY RASULALLAH SAL ALLAHU ALAIHI WA SALLAM. According to HADITH OR Scholars, SIN MAKE HEART RUST. Our heart is like a white cloth when we sin a black dot will be put on it (IF there is a black dot on a white plain cloth it will be visible) but if we seek forgiveness it would be removed. So two things make heart clean. 1 REMEMBERING ALLAH SUBHANA WAT'ALA ALWAYS 2 READING QURAN. AND TO MY own DO DAWAH<calling to="" islam=""> EVERYDAY ABOUT MIGHT OF ALLAH SUBHANA WAT'ALA, LISTENING TO,reading LECTURES ABOUT ISLAM .Try to do this things and INSHA ALLAH HE WILL LEAD YOU THROUGH. MA SALLAM. DO YOUR THINGS ACCORDING TO SUNNAH OF RASUL ALLAH SAL ALLAHU ALAIHI WA SALLAM ALLAH SUBHANA WAT'ALA KNOWS BEST.

No thank you u must always say jazakAllah khairan....n do remember us in ur prayers because One factor for prayers to be listened is when u pray for others too....

ASWK brother...surely saying thank you is manners bt as we are Muslims saying jazakAllah is more appropriate .....it is a dua we give to the one we thank...it means Allah jaza(ajr) de.....

My best advice is to read the Quran every day, even if it's just a little, as the Quran is exceptionally good at motivating and making us focus on our true purposes in life (I'd like to stress that you should read it in a language that you understand though, with the arabic if you wish, so that you understand what the Quran is saying if you can't read and understand Arabic).

Naturally our imaan begins to diminish when we stop reading it and doing good deeds.

And most importantly ask Allah for help in bringing you back to the straight path, if you're sincere then surely He will help you, because no one else can. Good luck :)
