Now updated: Islam.com Ramadan calendar - islam.com/salat

I was researching a little bit on Islam earlier when I came across the term "Blood debt". It's really unclear to me how this "Blood debt" is defined, let alone how it's done.

A basic summary of the "Blood Debt" is basically the "payback" of a murderer to the family of the victim. Usually it's done with "Blood money" (No idea what that is) and, I'm just guessing here, a task asked for by the victim's family.

I'd appreciate it if someone could enlighten me on this topic.

Thank you.
