i cant really tell you anything and i cant give u any advice ive never understood why people like the same gender i always just thought it was because people that are the same gender know things about their bodies or something... anyways you did the right thing and inshallah allah will reward you and help you through it.

Well it's not a choice, I don't think you just get up one day and decide to become gay. Personally I've never heard of a gay guy becoming straight. The most they can do is go on living their life pretending to be straight. But who knows maybe you'll become bi, which means you like both girls and boys. Also personally I don't believe Allah grants wishes, he just helps you endure his trials. His rewards are usually for the afterlife.

Its a choice most definitely. But this isn't the place to debate. That's why community site was made. Salam

Hello Mike. How are you?

I have all the works of Sahih Al-Bukhari. The 82nd Book is entitled The Book of Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainment). My copy does not contain the ‘hadith’ you mention above. Could you give me its number, please, so that I can search his other books.

I also have all the works of Sahih Muslim. Volume 4 does not contain the ‘hadith’ you speak of. It begins with Hadith 3398 and ends with 4518.

Hadith 2127 is contained in Volume 2, in the Book of Funerals, and says:

Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, said: “I heard the Prophet say”:

“‘There is no person who is afflicted with a calamity and says: (Verily to Allah we belong and unto him is our return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction and compensate me with something better) – but Allah will reward him for his affliction and compensate him with something better’”

She said: “When Abu Salamah died, I said what the Messenger of Allah enjoined me to say, And Allah compensated me with something better than him, the Messenger of Allah”.

I’m a little puzzled. Perhaps you can help me:

How does one account for the discrepancy between what you have written, and what is contained in the works I possess?

i'm good paul, how are you?

"How does one account for the discrepancy between what you have written, and what is contained in the works I possess?" well first i didn't write any of it. i copy and pasted. i have no idea as to why there is a discrepancy? go to searchtruth.com and you will see the first hadith in the 82nd book/volume/whatever(i have no idea how the numbering works) and it will be about the brutal execution of the tribe of ukl. as for when muhammad punches his wife in the chest, you can google it. i keep seeing it as muslim 4 2127?

Brothet Paulus, I know of the hadith he is refering to it may not be where he said it is but the hadith exist what I'm not sure is the isnad of the hadith. Be that as it may,the way he attempted to use it is what we must deal with. But that was excellent research for it shows those that may not know to mindful of our friend mike information..salaam

In fairness to Mike all the web sites I’ve looked at quote and reference Hadith 2127 (Muslim) in the way that Mike has.

To repeat my entry of yesterday, the actual Hadith reads:

Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, said: “I heard the Prophet say”: “‘There is no person who is afflicted with a calamity and says: (Verily to Allah we belong and unto him is our return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction and compensate me with something better) – but Allah will reward him for his affliction and compensate him with something better’” She said: “When Abu Salamah died, I said what the Messenger of Allah enjoined me to say, And Allah compensated me with something better than him, the Messenger of Allah”.

Thinking that there might be an error in referencing I then looked at Hadith 2127 of Al-Bukhari. This reads:

Narrated Jabir 1: 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Hardin died and was in debt to others. I asked the Prophet to intercede with his creditors for some reduction in the debts. The Prophet requested them (to reduce the debts), but they refused. The Prophet said to me, "Go and put your dates (in heaps) according to their different kinds, the 'Ajwa on one side, the cluster of Zaid on another side, etc., and then call me". I did that and called the Prophet. He came and sat at the head or in the middle of the heaps and ordered me, "Measure (the dates) for the people (creditors)”. I measured for them till I paid all the debts. My dates remained as if nothing had been taken from them.

In other narrations, Jäbir said: The Prophet said, "He (i.e., 'Abdullah) continued measuring for them till he paid all the debts." The Prophet, said (to 'Abdullãh), "Cut (clusters) for him (i.e., one of the creditors) and measure for him in full”

And finally at Hadith 2127 of Sunan An-Nasa’i. This reads:

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbb said: "I am surprised at those who anticipate the month when the Messenger of Allih said: 'When you see the new , crescent then fast, and when you see it, then stop fasting, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirty days."'

I’m stumped (but there again, I’m an old man and entitled to be stumped). I can suggest only that whoever was first to place on line the ‘hadith’ that Mike as quoted did so without checking that it really was Muslim 2127; and that everyone else since then (including Mike) has simply cut and pasted the original entry for their own purposes, without bothering to check it’s authenticity.

well these are clearly muslim run websites. you should contact them and tell them. they appear to be spreading false information. as opposed to the truth. strange.

Assalam o Alaikum! I am also suffering from such severe situation, i also have such feelings, i did not ever attracted by a girl, I did love some one with the deep of my heart, we often met but i always stop my self to meet him and i never did any sex with him, because i dont want to reject my Allah's orders, and then I break all relations with him, no reply no msg, no met, then i started to read quran with translation, and then I know that all Jins and Human are born by Allah just for his worship, then I got my life's aim, and now I feel so much peace in my heart, i will not say that I have been changed feelings or any thing else, But I left it on Allah because he knows myself more than me, and he knows that I am not sinner and I am not lier, I just belive on Allah that if I follow his orders, he will be mercyfull to me, so please don't be disheart, do pray to allah and try to be closer to Allah, because he is our creator and we have to follow him in every situation, whether our naturally gay or not, it doesn't matter, May Allah guide you and me and every one, (my english is not too good so please try to understand my msg)

Allah is the one who iS THE EQUITABLE, so if we follow his orders despite we are gays whether natural or unnatural what it is, (whatever science determine), but if we follow Allah's orders, he will do justice with us, and will reward us in here and after death so please do be hurt, I can understand your feelings because I am also suffering such feelings and I know how irritating such feelings which started from childhood, but just believe on Allah and do Allah's worship, because Allah is the only one who can understand our feelings, He knows us because he is our creator, and He knows we are not liar and He knows we are not sinners but (we would be sinners if we fulfill our desires) so please make relationship with Allah, because it is the only relation which always be with us (before our birth to after death) {My english is not too much good so please try to understand what is my msg and I hope those persons have gay feelings who will definately understand my msg and feelings) because only a gay can understand a gay's feeling, may Allah give hidayat to all of us

Wow what i really cant understand is why is it if our belived prophet (saw ) says attack those who attack u he is regarded as violent and aggressive.. but wait a minute when George bush and the likes of him order men to go to war and kill innocent people mainly children why are they looked upon as heroes or great leaders.. Please go look at what king George and the crusaders did before u open ur trapy mouth against a very holy and pure man.. frigging double standards these days is becoming beyond a joke
