salaam aleikum. I have been married for five years now, throughout this period I suffer from the pain and misery of having a husband who is addicted to chatting/flirting with women. I catch him every few months with all sorts of women in the internet. ive been hurt too many times with this man and now even after performing hajj he still continues. although he always promises to stop. also, my husband was not very clear to me about his past before our marriage. once married I came across a lot of love letters and photographs of so many different women, some of which he himself admitted fornicating with. I also recently discovered that he as an illegitimate child from one of his ex-girlfriends. this was a big blow to me and caused me a lot of pain and negatively impacted our marriage. the above two issues bring me so much pain to the extent that I sometimes feel I am better off leaving this man. I kept myself pure as this is what islam requires of me and in the end I got married to a man who has fornicated with so many women. I am very unhappy with my marriage and sometimes i have so much repulsion towards him that i don't even want him to touch me or to look at me. please advice me on how to deal with my problem... is this a test from Allah or am i supposed to leave him... i am so confused ?

wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Dear sister, I'm sorry that you're going through this, I know it must be very painful for you, I may not be a lot of help but I suggest you and your husband should start talking about this with each other more often and in a calm manner, don't try and argue a lot it may cause you more trouble, you should also pray for Allah to help you. You too should try getting out more, so he can stay away from the internet for a while, and also talk to a friend/family member about. Also to answer your Question things like these usually are a test from Allah but also may not be. Just do what you think is best for you. I really hope someone can help you more then I did but I can only pray that Allah eases this for you Inshallah.
