Now updated: Ramadan calendar -

I've been married to a British born Muslim convert for about 4 years. I'm a born Muslim, originally from South-east Asia. We have no children together but he has two daughters from his previous marriage.

I've come to realise that he has no intention of leading a Muslim way of life and that has caused a strain in our marriage. I do not wish to be part of it and thus, considering a divorce as the situation has made me feeling depressed. (Especially in the month of Ramadan, I would fast & go to the mosque alone while he and his daughters had a BBQ or went to the movies.)

Kindly advise if I have a valid reason to seek a divorce on the grounds of religion and what the implications are.

Jazakallah khairan.
