i would have to say no. if you can't buy insurance because it's too much like gambling, then i can't imagine you can buy stocks which may go up or down. then again is there not a stock market in dubia? you peaked my interest.

Assalamualaikum. brother this is my question also. many say all the interests, of what type it can be, are haram! on the other hand, many say that we dont fix any amount or percentage for which it will be called as an interest. it is a matter of profit and loss just like doing business. if business is halal so why is it not? i am sorry that i didn't asked through a new question, as it is asked already, i am trying to know through this. i am in confusion and worried also because my husband, father-in-law and brother and relatives do share business.
