As Salaam Alekum Does the following acts constitute Kufr.

  1. Saying something Kufr at the heat of the moment without considering the consequence or meaning.

  2. Appreciating something Haram. For eg. if a non-muslime, tells me that he went to church today and I say 'Good'

how old are you. the reason i ask is because modern science through the use of MRIs is showing that the human brain isn't fully developed until age 25. and the leasted developed part is the frontal lobe. and that is were the calulation of the consequence of action is believed to take place.

Hi Abdul Islam makes us answerable for our actions from the age of puberty. I dont think we should add new theories to counter that

sorry for the confusion. my name is mike and i'm not a muslim. in fact your very statement (amoung other things) is why i don't think islam is a good religion and certainly not a good form of governance. clinging to the 7th century is a bad idea. making children/adulescents adults because that is the way it was done 1400 years ago show a backwardness and stagnation that i think is nearly unbelievable. you do know people begin puberty at different times. would you make a 5 year-old answerable? your unwillingness to look at scientific facts makes you scary to me.

sincerely, michael malzahn

how many 5 year olds go through puberty? :P Islam as we know it today may seem a little backwards, but that is because people do not follow the teachings of the Quran alone. The Quran is not outdated and will never be. It is completed and perfect. A foolish mullah may give you a wrong answer because he derives his answers from sources other than the Quran, but the Quran will never lie/deviate from the truth. I encourage you to read it if you wish to find true answer my brother.

As-salamu 'alaykum wa rah-matul lah

Sincerely, a slave of Allah (swt)

i've read most of the koran. i found no answers, just questions. so you are a koran only muslim. you do know you are in the minority. as for 5 year-olds mentrasting i know of at least one. a peruvian girl gave birth at 5 back in the 30s i think. also i had a friend who taught elementry school and she said they keep pads in all the classrooms, including kindergarten because they were seeing and increase in girls starting their periods at young ages. there is some debate about hormones in milk and plastics, but that is a whole different can of worms.

so you believe that solomn sent a jinn to steal the queen of sheba's throne? you don't think the jinn are a carry over superstition from pre-islamic arabic culture?

i keep seeing questions about the evil eye. do you believe in the "EVIL EYE"?

What does it matter if I am in the minority? Before it was in the minority to believe the world was no flat :)

that is true, there has been isolated incidents here and there of cases of people hitting puberty early. As for a girl giving birth at the age of 5, she would have to have started menstruating at least 9 months prior to that, and have to have been either raped or have had consensual sex. that specific story shows evidence of falsehood. If I can get 1000 people to agree on 1 thing, it doesn't necessarily make it true (even if it was 1 million instead).

they got pictures dude. it is a well documented case. but yes it is an anomoly. in the link above if you go to the right and click on her name lina medina you will see. it's been a long time since most people believed in a flat earth. but there are flat earth theorist, even today. some of them muslim. so do 1000s of people believe in gog and magog? where is this iron and copper wall on our round earth.

(Aug 20 '13 at 15:03) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

funny example you choose

The Quran mentions that the world was "laid out" or "made flat".[111] To this the classic Sunni commentary Tafsir al-Jalalayn in the early 16th century says "As for His words sutihat, ‘laid out flat’, this on a literal reading suggests that the earth is flat, which is the opinion of most of the scholars of the [revealed] Law, and not a sphere as astronomers (ahl al-hay’a) have it, even if this [latter] does not contradict any of the pillars of the Law."[112] Other translations render "made flat" as "spread out".[113]

There are pictures of big foot, aliens and many other myths. Pictures don't make things true. The biological father was never identified. I know of people HERE IN CANADA who are biologically 21, but are 15 on documented paper. As far as anyone is concerned, he IS 15. I wonder if that girl was actually 5 :)

Translations* The Quran is not 100% unless in it's true Arabic form. Most cases of argument are from translations of the Quran where man can make mistakes.

I hope you find the answer to your questions so that your confusion may be lifted.

won't be possible then. i have no plans to learn arabic.

what does the father's idenity have to do with anything? yes documents can be forged or wrong information given when immigrating for many reasons, or poor records in third world countries. so if you don't want to believe a well documented account in history from 1933, that's fine with me. forget about the girl.

were are gog and magog?

insha allah. or maybe not? still trying to wrap my head around this concept of qadr. why do muslims say "god willing" when what is written is written? and men have freewill?

so do you know where gog and magog are?

I still stick to my point that Islam and Science are not incompatible. In fact many of the scientific achievements were accomplished under Islamic empires.

Islam means total submission to Allah and therefore when one submits himself to God, he accepts the laws he has put forth for him.

Hi Mike I am not an expert but I will attempt to answer your question. Firstly the concept of someone being accountable at puberty is not unique to Islam but is prevalent in most religions of the world including Christianity and Judaism. Please refer to the following link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coming_of_age

Now coming to the fact about Islam not being relevant because of recent findings of Science, you yourself have quoted that the human mind is not "fully" developed till age of 25. But does that mean that no one will be accountable for his actions till then. So for eg if a 24 yr old man commits rape, robbery, we should pardon him because of this scientific theory.

And finally, please find the following article which attempts to explain how Islam and Science are non-contradictory

http://www.irfi.org/articles/articles_101_150/quran_inspires_modern_science.htm

thanks furhan for your reply. haven't gotten to your links yet, wanted to reply while you might still be online. first i didn't mean to imply that anything was unique to islam. i've heard the arguement that the catholic church in the dark ages held a person to be an adult at age 7, because they where belived to have full knowledge of language at that age. luckily we in america aren't ruled by the catholic church or are we in the dark ages. as for your anology. i think rape and a slip of the tongue are uncomparable. but yes we do have a sliding scale of justice if you will. dispite the symbol

(Aug 20 '13 at 12:01) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

ism of lady justice being blindfolded. if a 10 year-old rapes or kills someone, the punishment will not be the same as if a 16 year-old does or if a 24 year-old. we hold people as adults at 18. but that number can change. it used to be 21. we have juvinile courts, seperate from adult courts. although we do try juviniles as adults sometimes for serious crimes. so i'm not claiming perfection in our system. but saying someone is an adult at puberty is horrifically flawed. puberty in a girl is easily defined, but what about males? and again, you would count a menstrating 5yo as an adult? peace.

WA alaykum asalaam. Im not sure if it makes you kufir, but I think the more remembrance of Allah the more we filter what we say before we say it. Also being around good people is important. instead of saying good maybe say Insha Allah Allah will guide you on a straight path. If they don't know what it means then you tell them. This is my opinion only if you'd like me to search for proofs I'd be happy too. Salam
