Assalamu Alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu...

I have one doubt. Is it possible to ask Allah in our dua,a halal matter for which whether HE grants it or not, im promising Him,i will do such and such things as a matter of showing my gratitude towards Him..For Instance,i had made one niyyath last month that i promised Him that i will fast 30 days if i pass one exam.I passed and im currently doing that..Another thing i made two days before that if i reach get my purse which has lost,i will recite the full Quran..I want to know the Islamic Rule on this kind of Duas. If the answer is wrong, presently i have 6 fasts remaining to fulfil my promise towards Him.Should i do it or not do that i doubt the condition itself is wrong and so the promise is invalid.Pls guide me.May Allah bless.
