Hello my brothers en sisters,

I have met a beautifal person, who converted to Islam ( al hamdoullilah ) She is a dutch woman and has the name Fenna. Is this name allowed in our religion? Or do she have to change her name?

Thankyou

Salam,

A person, male or female, who becomes a Muslim is not required to change their name, unless the name embodies the worship of someone, or some thing, other than Allah (Subhana wa Tal'la).

'Fenna' means 'Guardian of Peace'.

Sounds to me like a good name.

May Allah (Subhana wa Tal'la) guide her, and you, throughout your lives.
