Now updated: Ramadan calendar -

The first thing that sticks out to me is that since the Qu'ran is the perfect word and Islam has always been the emphasis of the prior prophets, including Jesus, Moses, Isaiah and others than why would these laws have had to change when Muhammad was supposedly called? Would'nt he have already knew to face the Kaaba and not Jerusalem first. Or, maybe if the old testament, where it is said that Jews face Jerusalem is corrupted?????

Confused Soul,

Thanks for being interesting in such topic first of all,

God have sent the message of Judaism, the Christianity – and then the last message which is Islam. While, Judaism focused on the body-side of the human being, Christianity focused on the spiritual side. Islam came, and as we believe is the perfect message, to take care and focus on all three aspects, the Physique, the Soul and the Spirit.

To answer your question, precisely, the Quran never described how to perform the Prayers? Or how to perform the Ablution too?

The religion of Islam has the Holy Quran and the Authentic Hadith of the prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) and these two elements should be taken as the two wings of a bird. This is how our religion is structured and this is how we worship God and believe in Jesus and Moses and Ibrahim.

As to the event of “Qiblah”, it was a test for us. God is all-knowing and all-hearing and he has eternal knowledge of us and our destiny but doesn’t decide it for us. So, at the beginning of time people used to face Jerusalem and the prophet used to look around as whether to say as we are or we face something else, so God Said in the holy Quran Verse 2 Chapter 144:

( Verily! We have seen the turning of your (Muhammad's SAW) face towards the heaven. Surely, We shall turn you to a Qiblah (prayer direction) that shall please you, so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid- al-Haram (at Makkah). And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction. Certainly, the people who were given the Scriptures (i.e. Jews and the Christians) know well that, that (your turning towards the direction of the Ka'bah at Makkah in prayers) is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.)

So the test was are we going to adhere to what the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him)said, as we believe in Chapter 53 Verses 3&4

God Said: (Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.) This means it has been revealed to His heart by God. So are we going to ADHERE to what God have told us to do as been revealed to your Prophet or not.

Is it clear enough or you need more elaboration?

Please do not hesitate to ask any question, send it to this email Have a lovely day

One small point: (I guess for personal security reasons) this site asks that we do not publish personal details, such as email addresses. If you go into the Community Site there is a mechanism for contacting members by private messages. Better to use this, I suggest.

May Allah (Subhana wa Tal'la) keep you safe.

Please, there is absolutely no need to be sorry. This was a wee bit of advice, not a criticism.

Haha - I probably never used the term "wee" before in my life, it was refreshing. No offence was taken at any level, I love rules :)

LOL. I'm Welsh, but just back from Scotland. There 'wee' is a dialect word meaning 'small' or 'little'

(Except when a parent says to a child: 'I want a wee word with you'. Then you know it's BIG trouble!)

  • I know the term, and I believe its superior to "little". I was going to learn Welch one day - was a big fan of Duffy too.

Then get yourself a plan, and do it! By the way...who's Duffy?

(Sep 05 '13 at 15:30) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

Well, I know pin means head and frog means dress using sometimes the very old English. Duffy is famed Vocalist.

Not quite, but close. Head is 'pen'; and dress is ffrog'.

In Welsh the ff sounds as f in English (a single f sounds as a v....a wee bit confusing, ain't it!)

It is a bit wee confusing, but since I used to work as a voice artist and doing commercials on the Radio, I am a very big fan f languages that has tweaking in its pronunciation. I believe Welch offers a Wealth of that Joy.

I am just a little confused now. You say that the Qu´ran is perfect, then tell me who is Allah then? I am just wondering. I have some other questions to.

1: Have you understood the Qu´ran good enough?

2: Who is Allah for you?

3: If Allah does something, should it be feared?

answered 0543148 UnknownUser's gravatar image

I never said the Qu'ran is perfect I said it is believed to be perfect but I am not one of them. Secondly, my point of this question is there are numerous laws to abide by not set in the Qu'ran.

answered 017 Confused%20Soul's gravatar image

I know, that´s what makes it particular. Many new rules and nothing in the Qu´ran about them. You see when all this rules have been made up and nothing about them in the Qu´ran so makes this the religion Islam a puzzle...
