Muhammad said that he does not say anything except that has been revealed to him. The Qu'ran never says anything about things to do with the Hajj or what to do or say in prayer or clothes dragging, beards, eating and writing with your left hand and others. Did Gabriel tell Muhammad when to put something in the Qu'ran and when not to. If all comes from Allah then how come all is not in the Qu'ran?

What is the distinction

If all comes from Allah, then the Bible and the Torah is from him to. Is it not?

What does this have to do with anything? I am talking about the fact that Muhammad gave laws that can not be found in the Qu'ran

Read the last sentence you have in the top.

Yeah laws can not be found, but that what makes it a puzzle..

Are you muslim?

(Sep 04 '13 at 18:08) Confused Soul Confused%20Soul's gravatar image

CS, don't worry about flanders he is crazy. but i'm no muslim and i think your question is excellent. why not just put all the laws in one book and not create all these self contradicting sayings. does the 24th surah arbogate stoning? still can't get a muslim to answer that. what is zina? why is there a hadith that says something should have been put in the koran but it was left out. your soul isn't confused your mind is. religion will do that to logical people. can you kill women and children or not? cut down trees or not? which example????? he keeps changing it.

Why you ask?

(Sep 04 '13 at 18:25) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

To abul rauf, I grew up muslim and certain things does not add up. There are muslims that does not deal with hadith and they are considered misguided. However, due to Muhammad saying everything he said was revealed to him one has to wonder why certain things were kept out

Abdul Rauf: You know about something in the hadith that says something should have been put in the Koran, but was left out. It is just making people wonder a little and so think now we know that our religion is true. For it is secrets in Islam that can shock others. So on judgement day we shall conquer, so now we can Jihad all the way! Or something

Quran is like the theory and prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the practical example. and Quran itself told us; "...And whatever the Messenger has given you- take, and what he has forbidden you-refrain from. And fear Allah is severe in penalty."(59:7)

you will never find in Quran the word "obey Allah" alone but always connected/attached to it "and obey the Messenger". because he is the messenger of Allah.

"O you who believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best (way) and best in result." (4:59)

Subhanallah may allah forgive you. It is extremely dangerous to mix your opinion with the truth.

The quran is not a ''theory''. The quran is a guidance : This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah
Sarah al-baquarah 2:2

Allah says manytime in the quran that he is alone to the prophet peace and blessings be upon him ex: So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place. Surah al Muhammad 47:19

excuse me brother if I was not clear enough. I mean Quran is LIKE the law/instruction and sunnah is how to practice that law. Quran is the word of truth and sunnah is how to work towards that truth. Quran is the guidance and prophet Muhammad is the guide (by permission/choice of Allah)

as we know our mother Aisha when she was asked about the manner of prophet Muhammad; she said "his manner was the Quran"

"Say, [O Muúammad], "If you were loving Allāh, then follow me, [so] Allāh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful." (3:31)

Its not a ''theory'', a ''Law'' or ''instructions'' ... Its a guidance that was revealed to Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him.

I quote: ''you will never find in Quran the word "obey Allah" alone but always connected/attached to it "and obey the Messenger'' = That was not correct.

I was simply trying to correct you so allah does not ask you on the day of judgement because wallahi, every little thing is counted. I expect the same from you (to correct me).

May allah shower his mercy on you, me and everyone. Forgive me if i have offended you in anyways.

Salamualikum!

And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires. Surah Muhammed 47: 17

Do not become amongst those who disbelieved in the prophet. That is exactly what shaitan wants you to do, he wants to lead you astray, and all that is astray is in the fire.

And btw Mohammad peace be upon him was the one and only who the quran was given to. No one else. If you believe in the quran you must believe and follow the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him
