I've been told that the jinn, beings of smokeless fire that live in the trees and mountains and travel great distances easily and lift heavy objects, have the same dietary laws as man. except they eat bones. so, were do they raise their livestock and their crops? are there roughly as many jinn as there are humans? they do reproduce? right? what is their life expectancy?

Mike I would answer you if I knew you were sincere in wanting to know. But because you do nothing but mock and ridicule I am not wasting my time.

ok? but i think you just don't know. or you realize the answer is going to sound really silly. how'd you get a vote up for that "answer"? that's no answer. let me quess. they are hunter gatherers. they don't raise livestock or grow crops. in america they eat mostly white tail deer, wild mustangs, moose, bear, stuff in the wild. and see mike, because they eat the bones there aren't thousands of carcasses lying around, to pre-empt your next smartass question. duh. you're ignorant. thanks but i'm still wondering how long they live?

(Oct 10 '13 at 12:59) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

They were created before us , lived here before us. Maybe I should ask you what you eat? And how do you get your food? Hmmm have me stumped.

(Oct 11 '13 at 04:28) sadie ♦ sadie's gravatar image

"lived here before us" so they no longer occupy the earth? jinn are extinct? that would actual make sense. but i don't think that is the accepted belief in islam? i eat most anything. pork, beef, poultry, fish, shellfish, deer, i've had moose, elk, bear, buffalo, mountain goat. there is a place in tampa, fusion taco, that serves lion tacos. haven't gotten over to try one yet, but i plan on it. most my food comes from the grocery store or restuarants. oh wait, are you implying that i'm jinn? that is funny. guess we aren't extinct after all.

sup with your boy talseer. karma dropped quick.

no they're still here. I was implying that they were created before us and lived here before us, with us. You need a new hobby. Mike are you ready to say the shahadah and ill teach you prayer?

(Oct 19 '13 at 13:54) sadie ♦ sadie's gravatar image

Sure, how else would they whisper in my ear every night. No, no magic words for me anytime soon. Maybe Paul will abandon his family for your god?

do u plan to host them some grand feast ?

answered 1816 arsalan86's gravatar image

wasn't thinking of that, but now that you mention it, sounds like a good plan. can't hurt having a few jinn as friends. solomon did? right, well he enslaved some. but they should make excellent construction workers. but i was really wondering why we don't see their livestock roaming around? or do they just poach our's? or are their animals invisable like them? i've heard if they eat the bones of an animal they can take that form?

There are 3 types of Jinn, one are of scorpions and snakes and creeping things of the Earth, one are of those that fly through the air, and the other, is based in one place, but can travel about. And of one of these are subject to reckoning and punishments, ( Al- Hakam and at Tamarani andal - Bayhaqi). The Amir Jinn is the one who lives with people, known as a resident Jinn. Ifrit, is a name given for a jinn with immense power and strength. As for the life span, It is not clear, as Shatan asks for respite till all shall be raised up, "He said, "Respite me untill the day they shall be raised," He said, You are among those who are respited. "( 7;3-4-15 )

In the Sunnan of at-Tarmidhi, it says a transmission withe the sound isnad, " Do not clean yourself withe the bones or dung. They are the provisions of your brothers among the Jinn" The dung is rekoned to be the food of their cattle. ,, There are a few Hadiths on this subject of Jinn eating, but no further as to what other food sources.

According to the following Hadith (Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 200), they apparently do eat bones: "Once Abu Hurraira asked the Holy Prophet (saw) "What about the bone and the animal dung?" He (saw) said, "They are of the food of Jinns. The delegate of Jinns of (the city of) Nasibin came to me--and how nice those Jinns were--and asked me for the remains of the human food. I invoked Allah for them that they would never pass by a bone or animal dung but find food on them"

who tries to clear themselves with bones? or even worst dung? was this an arab custome.

(Oct 21 '13 at 13:31) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

dont know???? sand was a provision and still is for cleansing, that is when there is no water around, or clean water available.

(Oct 21 '13 at 13:36) abyadgirl abyadgirl's gravatar image

so if jinn wipe dung on themselves does it instantly burn off? or are they covered in brown and should we not then see them?

(Oct 21 '13 at 13:42) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

Mike, the dung is for their livestock. Your eyes are clearly not seeing, and no doubt your ears are not hearing, and your heart is as yet still closed. Have you not learnt anything yet !!!

(Oct 21 '13 at 13:47) abyadgirl abyadgirl's gravatar image

so the dung is feed to their livestock? or is that a typo? did you mean to say the dung is from their livestock? my eye sight is pretty good, hearing not what it used to be, but i get by. i still don't know how we don't see these heards of livestock that the jinn raise? or the bones or dung they eat or clean themselves with?

how many jinn are there? don't they reproduce and live in family units and tribes?

(Oct 21 '13 at 13:54) abul rauf abul%20rauf's gravatar image

Jinn live pretty much the same as us. They have families, and some are muslim and some are not. They live in tribes, or groups , possibly, there is a hadith refering to the Naseebeen tribe of Jinns, that met the Prophet, pbuh.

so they do raise livestock and feed them camel dung. so why do you think they take the form of BLACK slaves? so be weary of black slaves. seems a bit racist.

(Nov 25 '13 at 11:26) mikejm3 mikejm3's gravatar image

Mr. Mike soon or later you will conclude that their is a racism between dogs too.

(Nov 25 '13 at 13:37) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

i think dogs are color blind. why would you say that? because muhammad ordered the black dogs killed? that would be a prejudice of muhammad, not the dogs.

so can a white slave be jinn? i don't get why your link had a link to a hadith that singled out BLACK slaves? is it not saying that black people are more likely to be jinn in disguise?

(Nov 25 '13 at 15:57) mikejm3 mikejm3's gravatar image

You are asking me, why did i say that? because you normally turns things around to suite yourself, but litle did you know that you can only turn what is in your capability with your mouth, heart, and hand, but you can not turn what is beyond you. I know you are obssess with Islam or other religion afterall you are an atheist, but Islam is beyond you to change to suite yourself. As far you already know their is know racism in Islam, is possible that white slave can be Jinn in disguise too.

(Nov 25 '13 at 23:05) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

no racism in islam? you've got to be kidding, right?

(Nov 26 '13 at 11:57) mikejm3 mikejm3's gravatar image

I'm not kidding, if you read the last fearwell sermon, of our belove Prophet {S.A.W},you will know their is no racism in Islam. You can put your blame of racism and other ugly issues, on the people that choose to be Muslim, but they did not practise Islam.

(Nov 26 '13 at 12:59) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

Sister or brother he already know the answer so please don't waste your time with him

(Nov 26 '13 at 13:05) Bibi Amina ♦ Bibi%20Amina's gravatar image

the term racism is now used as a catch all for discrimination not just based on race or national origin but also on religion. and islam is clearly a religiously based supremist ideology. muslims are superior to non-muslims in islam, are they not? how is this not racism in your eyes. look at the koran. it constantly refers to non-believers as being blind and deaf and dumb. it says we are like cattle, nay lower than cattle.

(Nov 26 '13 at 14:30) mikejm3 mikejm3's gravatar image

In this case, Join the good race, it has been long that racism prevail on this earth.

(Nov 26 '13 at 15:48) UnknownUser UnknownUser's gravatar image

so you are "the good race". so what does that make me? so as long as i'm like you, you won't be racist towards me. but until then i'm to be veiwed as inferior to you? sounds like you know islam well.
