I heard an Imam say that children won't talk to their parents anymore (one of the signs of the Day of Judgement) because of all the new tech and consoles and T.V., so is the modern technology to blame?

Assalamu alaikum... U r obviously right .. No more doubts in this.. Becoz i've seen the children who are not responding their parents even my step bro and sis. The mordern tech gave way to sh..aitan and keep the children out of their iman.. Ya Allah..Sa ve us from the fire of hell ..And open our way to paradise... Ameen.. Ya Allah save us from yhe path of shaitan.. It must be blamed... Salam

y'all should become amish, or mennonites. or maybe just follow there example? or would that be like imitating the kaffir?

or wait, how about this. just don't buy your kids that crap?

But sometimes kids just buy all that 'crap' themselves.

well if the kid has a job and the money to buy a ps3 i guess you can't/shouldn't stop them. or encourage them to save their money. put it in the bank, earn some interest. oh wait, y'all don't do interest, my bad. maybe limit their gaming time to an hour a day. certainly make sure their homework is done before any electronics gets turned on. and always do your best to have the family sit down for dinner every night. studies often show familys that eat together have better parental involement and a stronger family bond.

And I was being sarcastic. I get what you're saying, but try telling all those other kids that. And look man, I'm just a kid trying to find some answers in a confusing world. It's not even big, just confusing and so needy. I wasn't so serious about these things when I first joined this site but now? People like you aren't making things better for me, just feeding the doubt in my mind. Too much thinking aint good for anyone, and sometimes, it's so much better to be ignorant.

if you don't want to think about things, don't think about them. ignorance is bliss, they say. say your prayers, do what you're told and put your faith in allah. most people blissfully go through live with blinders on. just yesterday while we were canoeing my buddy was telling me how he was at and airport and there was a revolving door and people were lined up 25 deep waiting to go through it. he looked and there were double doors on either side of the revolving door. so he went through those. and he's like no one even followed. they just stayed in line. the heard mentality is strong in some

And that, my old friend, was called sarcasm. You do really know that I don't give a crap?

(Oct 28 '13 at 16:05) answerer answerer's gravatar image

lol. yes my young friend, omg, i like totally get it. see when you made fun of my canoeing story, i was like omg, i'm about to cry. this kid on the other side of the world doesn't like me. i think i'm going to kill meself. he's like cyber bullying me.

but then at the last minate i pulled it together. and thought, well screw him if he dosen't like my story, he can just do fly a kite, or take a long walk on a short pier. (trying to stick with a nautical theme.)

And that kid on the other side of the world? They think you're making yourself sound like a real shit bag. Also, you're spelling is worse than mine.
