i believe i'm right. i believe i've heard that number before (could be 380) and it is academicly accepted. there my be a different opinion out there, but i've never heard it. can't KNOW for sure. i wasn't there. no video evidence. could be an exageration. heard some arguee the kaaba isn't big enough for that many idols. but then again an idol could be only a couple of inches tall. the black rock is definately there. again, it is academically accepted as to be left over. could have been added later? i haven't been standing there inventoring the comings and goings for the last 1400 years.

@Bibi,this is prophet Ibraheem A.S story and is not related to Prophet Muhammed S.A.W story after the conquest of Mecca.

(1) Narrated Abdullah: When the Prophet entered Mecca on the day of the Conquest, there were 360 idols around the Ka'ba. The Prophet started striking them with a stick he had in his hand and was saying, "Truth has come and Falsehood will neither start nor will it reappear. (Book #59, Hadith #583)

searchtruth.com that's were most my hadith comes from. faithinallah.org has removed all their's for some reason. USC (university of southern california) has a pretty extensive collection as well.

but searchtruth is nice because you can search by word. just mouse over the hadith button and the four books will drop down with a search line under them. click that, choose your word or phrase below (the word sky is in the box for some reason?) and the collection to the right. (bukahri is already in the box) then hit search to the farther right.
