I am curious to know if foxes are allowed as pets. I know dogs cannot be kept as pets, but foxes are in the same family as the dog but are not true dogs. From what I have heard, dogs, coyotes, and wolves are in one group, and foxes are in another.

So I am curious as to whether or not, foxes are allowed to be kept as domestic animals.

i saw a hadeeth once about having to tan the fox skin before using because they were just gonna throw the fox out so i guess if you have to tan their skin they must be unclean and if you think about it dogs can only be kept for hunting the fox is dangerous and cant hunt so it wouldnt have a reason t be in your home

Tanning is a method of preserving, if the skin of any animal is removed it must be tanned or it will rot.
