No brother. Remember what I told you, answer people according to islam if you have question or you are disagree with Muslim then search and read more on that topic which you are struggling :)

i think they always could. dude, i'm always decent. it's that sometimes y'all are just hyper-sensative when it comes to your religion. (ok maybe not always, but i can't remember ever throwing the 1st jab)

bibi, there is no islamic answer for a hindu, or any moral vegetarian. to them any slaughter is brutal. best you can do is go with the sharp knife rule and scientific proofs of slitting the throat is one of the least painful way to kill an animal. and then you can go to the dietary needs of animal protiens. or you can do the delfection thing, ask the hindu if s/he eats root vegetables? ;)

Just messing dude. And I think you saying 'I'm always decent' is a bit of an overstatement. If you were always decent then why would, like, a hundred questions be dedicated to you and insults towards your comments...?

Also, read a bit of Einstein, maybe you'll get a bit of the religious spirit! And do Athiests celebrate Christmas and stuff? If not, what DO you guys celebrate? And since you went to Catholic school and stuff can you explain why they believe that Jesus is God, but yet he prayed to 'another' God, which kinda implies that there's someone mightier than him...? I tried asking a

tour guide at St Paul's Cathedral but she went red and said she really didn't know the answer to that and to ask a priest... I didn't bother.

Some say that he comes in three forms, but that doesn't make sense 'cos if Jesus was the same God that he was praying to when he was on the cross, then he wouldn't really have to be praying and could've just saved himself...

Not really expecting you to know dude, but since ya went to Catholic school I was just thinking that you did...

(Dec 13 '13 at 14:16) answerer answerer's gravatar image

those are easy questions dude. some Christians believe in the divinity of the trinity. as in god is one while still being three. "one being from then father, begotten not made", google Nicene creed. math doesn't apply to "god", he can be one and three at the same time. so why didn't jesus save himself. I think a roman guard asked the same thing while he was hanging on the cross. his death was a sacrifice to save us from our own sins. I know it doesn't make sense but it's religion, do any of them make sense? there's a singer song writer greg brown who in one of his songs says, three days in the

grave, that sounds good to me. I just have some problem with eternity. "poor back slider" is the song I think. so what is the big sacrifice if you know you are going to raise?

I eat Christmas dinner with my Christian family. but I don't give gifts. not because I don't "believe" in gift giving, I just don't like shopping.

and we all know it's the winter solstice, not anyone's birthday. jesus was born in april most likely?

(Dec 13 '13 at 16:04) mikejm4 mikejm4's gravatar image

Still doesn't make sense. If he was sacrificing himself, then why was he praying to God to save himself? Or is that just a kid's tale? Also, do Christians actually believe in Joseph and when Mary gave birth in the stables? 'Cos I thought they believed that she was a virgin,so why is Joseph in the story? Or is that just for children's satisfaction as well?

not sure what pray you are talking about. if memory serves jesus is reported to have said, "father why have you forsaken me". if that is what you are talking about, the nuns would say, that showed his humanity and his sacrifice. but then he said "father forgive them they know not what they do". and i think he had a converstaion with one of the guys next to him, about seeing him in heaven later because the guy said he believed jesus to be god, even though that guy was a murderer. of course it doesn't make sense, it's a myth. he was no god nor a prophet. as for joseph he married mary to conceal

her "virgin conception". if she had given birth without a husband back then she would have been shunned and maybe worst. what does islam have mary doing? giving birth under a tree that miraculously drops dates on her. then she lives in isolation under zacharians house? food keep appearing from no where.

so jesus wasn't crucified in islam. god changed some guys face to look like him? this makes sense? muhammad went to heaven and god told him to pray 50 times a day but moses told him that was too many so muhammad went back and negotiated with god, that makes sense to you?

(Dec 14 '13 at 09:57) mikejm4 mikejm4's gravatar image

Yep. If you really believed in God and had a strong faith, you would. That's what effect Islam has to some, and that's not a bad thing. And I Islam just has alotta stories with miracles, but so does Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, and so on. You don't have to believe that it's nonesense. Like I said before, I minds weren't made to take all tose thoughts in. We#re too weak. and don't ya ever check ur messages?

Dr. Zakir Naik (may Allah have mercy on him) explains part of this answer in his book. He writes [with my comments in brackets]:

Question: Why do Muslims slaughter the animal in a ruthless manner by torturing it and slowly and painfully killing it? [my notes: what a horrible lie! Its like asking why do all Muslims kill their mothers?]

Answer: The Islamic method of slaughtering animals, known as Zabiha has been the object of much criticism from a large number of people.

Before I reply to the question, let me relate an incidence about a discussion between a Sikh and a Muslim regarding animal slaughter.

Once a Sikh asked a Muslim, "Why do you slaughter the animal painfully by cutting the throat instead of the way we do with one stroke i.e. jhatka?" The Muslim replied "We are brave and courageous and attack from the front. We are marad ka baccha (macho men), you are cowards and attack from behind". [Dr. Zakir is joking here..]

Jokes apart, one may consider the following points, which prove that the Zabiha method is not only humane but also scientifically the best:

1. Islamic method of slaughtering animal

Zakkaytum is a verb derived from the root word Zakah (to purify). Its infinitive is Tazkiyah which means purification. The Islamic mode of slaughtering an animal requires the following conditions to be met:

a. Animal should be slaughtered with sharp object (knife)

The animal has to be slaughtered with a sharp object (knife) and in a fast way so that the pain of slaughter is minimised.

b. Cut wind pipe, throat and vessels of neck

Zabiha is an Arabic word which means 'slaughtered'. The 'slaughtering' is to be done by cutting the throat, windpipe and the blood vessels in the neck causing the animal's death without cutting the spinal cord.

c. Blood should be drained

The blood has to be drained completely before the head is removed. The purpose is to drain out most of the blood which would serve as a good culture medium for micro organisms. The spinal cord must not be cut because the nerve fibres to the heart could be damaged during the process causing cardiac arrest, stagnating the blood in the blood vessels.

2. Blood is a good medium for germs and bacteria

Blood is a good media of germs, bacteria, toxins, etc. Therefore the Muslim way of slaughtering is more hygienic as most of the blood containing germs, bacteria, toxins, etc. that are the cause of several diseases are eliminated.

3. Meat remains fresh for a longer time

Meat slaughtered by Islamic way remains fresh for a longer time due to deficiency of blood in the meat as compared to other methods of slaughtering.

4. Animal does not feel pain

The swift cutting of vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerve of the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. While dying, the animal struggles, writhers, shakes and kicks, not due to pain, but due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles defecient in blood and due to the flow of blood out of the body.

does not feel pain. clearly that is not possible. there is going to be some pain when you slit it's throat. there is no way can say that having your throat slit doesn't cause pain.
