Islam dowry and mahar allowed or not.

Two conditions need to be met in order for a man and woman to be married. 1. The dowery which is decided upon the husband to be and wife to be. And given at the time of marriage with wali and witnesses. 2. Consummation of the marriage in which takes place after dowery is given. This is marriage in Islam. Salaam :

I accepted above answer.but somepeople say dowry and mahar are not allowed.please note a quran or hadis pagenumber.
