The Quran app i have lets me listen to the Quran in Arabic and it was really late at night. I had stayed up reading the Quran but I didn't read it all the way through. I just skipped around to different chapters and stuff. It was completely quiet and very dark in my room and I put my earphones in to listen to it in Arabic.

It was up really loud and I was laying on my back flat. After listening for a couple seconds I started getting chills all over my body. But they weren't bad chills at all. It was sounding too beautiful and it felt like everything else around me disappeared while I was listening.

Suddenly It felt like something was surrounding me !!! Like really really really thick warm air was pushing on all sides of me. I freaked out and took the earphones out lol. But the words that I heard in the Quran ( the Arabic readings of it ) still played inside of my head. I put the earphones back in I still felt the warm air or whatever it was , surrounding me and pushing on me. It scared me so bad but It wasn't negative. I knew it was a good feeling but I had never felt it before so it scared me so bad. But even though I was scared I felt peace in my heart and calmness.

Dear sister, this beautiful ayah can explain EXACTLY what you felt :)

((Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.)) Chapter: 39/Verse: 23

:) Sakina is also an Arabic name for women. I meant "Al-Sakina" which is mentioned in Quran and in hadith.

once one of the sahaba was reading Quran(souraht al kahf) and his horse with rope into a tree and found something like a cloud arround him and his horse was strange and jumping.. so he asked the prophet about that in the next day and he (peace be upon him) said; "it is the Sakina/tranquility/Quietness is descent for the Quran." and in another narration;"it is the angels/malaaeka came to listen to you(reciting Quran)"

and al-sakina/the tranquility was mentioned in Quran in many verses; "It is He who sent down the tranquility/al-sakina/assakina into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allāh belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allāh Knowing and Wise." (48:4)

"Certainly was Allāh pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you, [O Muúammad], under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down the tranquility/al-sakina/assakina upon them and rewarded them with an imminent conquest." (48:18)

"Then Allāh sent down His tranquility/His Sakina/sakinatahou upon His Messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers angels whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers." (9:26)

"If you do not aid the Prophet – Allāh has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allāh is with us." And Allāh sent down His tranquility/Sakinatahou upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allāh – that is the highest. And Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise."(9:40)

"When those who disbelieved had put into their hearts chauvinism – the chauvinism of the time of ignorance. But Allāh sent down His tranquility/Sakinatahou/His Sakina upon His Messenger and upon the believers and imposed upon them the word of righteousness, and they were more deserving of it and worthy of it. And ever is Allāh, of all things, Knowing." (48:26)

Ma shaa Allah sister, Allah loves you and you must be someone clean/clear/pure/sound heart to realize/notice this. May Allah pleases you and be pleased with you.
