Hello,

All I wanted was to grow up in my home country. Nobody understands me. They all scapegoat me. I have been separated from family, language, culture, and religion. I can't handle it anymore. Why me? I wanted to grow up in my home country. My parents are narcissistic and have made a police state out of my life. Everyone thinks I'm crazy and they scapegoat me and hurt me. Why me? Why has God done this to me? I can't handle it. I love my culture. I am lonely. Grow up with no family at all. family hidden from me. I have many problems. I feel soul raped. Male 21 in usa from mideast. Born is usa. I am trying to escape now. Yet, there are so many challenges. I need help.

I hear my dad always talking behind my back and planning things for me. He treats me like a baby. He wont let go and can never find peace. I am always under stress as if my nerves are on fire. My dad has not seen his family in three decades and my mom has virtually abandoned her family. Both have and they have caused me much grief and loneliness. My dads parents are sick and one of his brothers wanted to kill himself recently. And so much more.

Please help. Should I write more info?

Assalamualaikum

Dear brother, I would like to quote here a few verses of the Quran, where Allah, may He be Exalted says: [interpretation of the meaning:]

And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it in order that the people will not have any argument against you, except for those of them who commit wrong; so fear them not but fear Me. And [it is] so I may complete My favor upon you and that you may be guided.

Just as We have sent among you a messenger from yourselves reciting to you Our verses and purifying you and teaching you the Book and wisdom and teaching you that which you did not know.

So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.

O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salat [the prayer]. Truly! Allah is with As-Sabirin [the patient ones].

And say not of those who are killed in the Way of Allah, "They are dead." Nay, they are iving, but you perceive [it] not.

And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin [the patient ones].

Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: [inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon] "Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return."

They are those on whom are the Salawat [i.e. blessings, etc.] from their Lord, and [they are those who] receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones.

(Surah Al Baqarah)

Dear brother, do not give up hope and do not despair of the Mercy of your Lord, the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful and do not forget that He is the acceptor of our supplications and that He will reward the good doers in the Hereafter with Paradise. Remember that your Lord is the Most Just and that this life is but a test that will soon be over. and reflect on His blessings. If you try to count them, and you can never fully count and innumerate them, you will always find them to be greater than your dificulties.

Remember brother that Satan invites you to the hellfire and Allah invites you to His Mercy and Forgiveness.

I pray to Allah to relieve you of the burdens and difficulties that you face, and grant you great sabr and patience, that will lead you to paradise by Allah's Mercy. Ameen.

What you are facing is a test from Allah. If you are patient, you will be rewarded inshaAllah.

Hello,

Thank you so much. Yet, my problems are so much deeper than this. It is not about me. It is about my family. Why have they become like this? Why did they deny me my culture? Why did I grow up alone? Why did my parents cut relations with family? Why is my family hostile to me? And so much more. I am scared for their fate. I love them but they have broken me very much. I feel like my soul has been raped. I can provide more details if needed.

Assalamualaikum

I cannot answer why your life is the way it is.

But what I can state is that you should not seek guidance from therapists and other sources. Turn to Allah and Allah alone!

The previous poster provided some powerful verses and made good points! Read over these more than once.

I know it is particularly painful because the hardships and wound are so current, but do not let this cloud your view of the truth! I do not know you well, but I can tell that you have a good character. To come to Islam.com to seek guidance for your hardship is indicative of someone with a good foundation.

Continue making your salaah and obeying Allah and seeking peace from Him alone. If you do this, I am sure that you will achieve the contentment of your heart that you so seek, in this life or next.

You will look back one day on these moments of your life and you will smile knowing that those were the stepping stones that Allah had placed for you to achieve His satisfaction and the peace you seek.

I will make dua for you my brother that Allah makes it easy for you In Shaa Allah.

Please be advised that I am not an Imaam or Scholar. I am just a fellow Believer trying to share knowledge, learn and grow.

If you need someone to speak to I will be more than happy to lend an ear. Sometimes it is good to share your experience and speak about it.

Salaam

Waheed
