hey,i wanted a response.slavery isn't illegal by islam but illegal by shirk laws and convention so please don't say to me slavery is illegal because of laws. there's two kind of slavery permitted 1 slavery made by raids against paigan and polytheist etc 2 a person who's both parents are slave . so my question is a person born to slave parents, kafir and that were'nt kidnapped but slave by inherance debt and is at relatively grown age and owned by a kafir man ,can i afford it ?please don't be sensitive

are you in Mauritania? "can you afford it?"? how much is the kafir man asking for his slave? only you know if you can afford to buy the slave. your question doesn't make sense to me?

the question in not can i afford it(money)? but i means afford it (like means of permissible)and no it's not in mauritania and please reread my specific situation.

I've read it boss. just don't know what you mean? there is a person, "relatively grown" which means what? 12 to 18 years old? and he or she is enslaved to a karif man because his or her parents are slaves due to some inherited debt. you want to buy the slave? unfortunately slavery is not outlawed in sharia. one of it's many flaws. but many modern jurist say that islam set the foundation for the end of slavery. that it just wasn't possible in the time of Muhammad. and the reason for making people slaves after battle was because if you just killed all or most of the men of the tribe, the women..

and children would not be able to survive on their own. so taking them with you was really a kindness to them. also, Muhammad and others, adu bakr for instance freed many slaves. some say tens of thousands. and manumitting a slave is encouraged, even in those times, because it relieves you of a major sin.

but regardless of all that non-sense, do you think it is right to enslave someone? if our parents were slaves would you be happy being born into slavery. or if your father died and left a debt to someone, would you be ok with that someone enslaving you. if you can afford it monetarily,

buy the slave and free him or her. it is a disgrace to all mankind that there are still slaves in the world. don't be a jackass.

you have understand me.mikejm4.i just need clarification if i can.and (emotion should'nt take place emotion can be manipulated and can make you disgust something and desire anything else(west are good at it)the fact is that i don't know whick thing to do brother this is why i questionned and if you know and have big knowledge about it please respond.thanks

(Apr 25 at 13:07) asaske asaske's gravatar image

no my knowledge is not "big" by any means. nor am I your brother, I'm a kafir. so I imagine my words are meaningless to you. but if you want to remove all emotion from your thought process of what is the right thing to do, then good luck to you. and more importantly those around you. because without empathy, then we might as well be predatory animals, lions who kill their own cubs or large alligators who cannibalize the smaller. if you think the true nature of islam is to take advantage of the weak and enslave your fellow man, so be it. there is nothing in it to clearly state other wise in

this particular situation. Muhammad himself auctioned a slave off after the slave's masters death in order to settle a debit (if you believe that hadith to be authentic) but a different time and place. hopefully? if the people of your nation haven't seen fit to outlaw slavery, then I feel for you. and more so for those in bondage. but the world is not perfect and neither is islam, despite what some say. if you can't see why slavery is wrong, then maybe it is you who the Koran is referencing when it says, "allah has put a seal on their hearts"?

can a imam or someone who have sharia jurist knowledge or the moderator can responds to me because i need a fatwa?

(Apr 25 at 16:24) asaske asaske's gravatar image

you want a fatwa oking slavery. go to islamqa.com. the saudi/salafi scholar muhammad al-munijjad will give you a thumbs up. if you read arabic, i imagine you could find many muftis or imans or ayatollahs saying it is find and dandy to take slaves as war booty. it is well established in islam. islam is stuck in the 7th century and slavery was very much an important part of life. their have been calls to the muhajdeen in palistine to take jewish women as slaves and a kuwaiti woman has called for the chychens to send russian women to the kingdom to be sold as sex slaves.

Slavery is illegal by international laws and you can be jailed for criminal activity for being involved in human trafficking.

I advice you in the strongest terms to not get involved in this illegal activity which can ruin the life of you and your family dear brother/sister. Be sensible.

You can ask the shaykh about Islam's position on this. again I warn you: DO NOT approach this activity http://www.assimalhakeem.net/contact
