Now updated: Ramadan calendar -

Dear Mothers, I have a bad news and a good news for you.

Bad news: if your children follow Islam you shouldnt expect them to be especially good to you on mothers day. Sorry, dear mothers. Please dont be upset.

OK, ready for the Good news? If your children follow Islam, you should expect them to be the especially good in conduct to you all 365 days of the year (and 366 days every leap year)! They wont throw you to an old age home when youre old. They will love you and take care of you no matter what, and they wont even say 'uff' in annoyance. Because they realize somewhat the high level status Allah has given the mother

{And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to And that you be dutiful to your parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.

And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِى صَغِيرً "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."} The Noble Quran.

As the prophet (peace be upon him) famously stated, 'paradise lies under the feet of your mother.' (sorry, dads)
