Who do you believe Jesus is? You say He is regarded as a prophet, so why do you not follow His teachings concerning heaven, hell, and salvation?

in john 14:6, it states that Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life : no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

if that is what Jesus taught, then why is Muhammad's message the one believed, instead of Jesus, who obviously says that He is the only way? This does not make sense.

According to ur believes didnt Jesus die so all the sins of everyone can be cleared?? Basically nobody has to do nothing to go to heaven u can do as u please than go to church confess and u are all done with it? So y is there a god if god paid for our sins? Why does hell exist? How could Jesus be killed if he is god? Who made jesus come back ? If jesus was god and jesus died than how did the earth continue w/o god? I think your question is not for this site, you might have to go to a different website if you want a answer that you agree with and not an answer that is the truth.

astagfirulla. the injeel(bible) is changed many times after coming on earth and is not the original one as it was before and the only book which has not been changed is the holy book quran. so thats the reason why mohammads(s.a.w.)pbuh message is acepted.

@ Faith- I'm sorry, but your "answer" did not in any way truly answer my question. I am doing research on your religion, and just wanted some clarification on some information I had learned about Islam and did not understand. You only asked more questions and assumed my question was not for this site. I specifically used this site, knowing Muslims would answer my questions. You wrote, "you might have to go to a different website if you want a answer that you agree with and not an answer that is the truth". I do not appreciate your comment. I am doing research, as I said above, and was trying to correct a discrepancy that I found. If you are going to comment, at least answer my question. Thank you.

Jesus was a prophet of God. Isn't it in the Bible tham Jesus said, I am but myself nothing. This simply means he performed all his miracles by God's mercy on him. Don't they say Jesus the King of Jews? But Muhammad(SAWS) a mercy to 'mankind'? Please leave falsehood and accept Islam. Thank you.

Jesus like may other prophets such as Moses is a prophet that served a different purpose. Muslims follow the sunnah (teachings) of Muhammed (pbhu) because they purpose which he served was to be an example for man kind of how to act. Even if you actually read the Bible you will find evidence to suggest that Jesus is not a God but a prophet of Allah. When Jesus went to the garden of eden he even put his head down on the floor to Allah. This evidence to suggest that even in the Bible Jesus was a Muslim. May Allah guide you to the right path !!! I will keep you in my prayer.

The message of eternal life given in the new testament of the bible is to believe in God and in Jesus Christ.

The muslims believe in God and in all of his prophets.

So how could a muslim not be saved?

From what I have seen, it seems that many are presented with the truth through the good news, and they believe, but then many of them turn away to false doctrines taught by men, things such as believing in a trinity.

Id like to comment on a couple of comments people have made about the idea that Christians think they just get a free ride to heaven if they become a christian, and how I believe it works (when I say I believe, I should say, how it worked for me in my experience, and for the other Christians I know)

Before I get onto that though, I would ask everyone reading this to consider this hypothetical situation:

Have you ever had a friend, or a mentor, who was a person you looked up to? Someone who always knew the right thing to say, who did the right thing, said the right thing, had the perfect advice, and who everyone around you looked up to and respected. Someone who always did everything right, and who made you feel like you were really important, and worthwhile, even if you had made a mistake. Someone who made you feel that you were important, and encouraged you, made you feel that you could succeed at anything you put your mind to. Someone who made you feel good about yourself, and who made you feel secure, and appreciated.

Did you ever find yourself wanting to impress that person? To please them? To find some way to thank them for all the good things they brought into your life?

And, if someone suddenly came to you and said - just for fun, lets steal from this person, or lets go to their house and break their most precious belongings. Or even - lets just lie to them and say "I need money and I will pay it back" even though I don't need the money - and i wont try and pay it back.

Most people I know would not want to do anything to disappoint or hurt a person who they respect and look up to. And if that person they respect, has shown that they believe in you, then usually you want to make them proud of you, you want to do well

In short, if there is a person who you respect, and admire and look up to, isn't it most likely that you would want to please them

In fact, when you admire, respect and like someone - dnt you often try to be a little bit more like them - to demonstrate the characteristics that you admire?

For a person to become a christian, they have to genuinely and sincerely accept Jesus into their life. If you do so, he comes into your life as a personal experience, you can feel he is there. And he does wonderful things for you. It is not possible, to GENUINELY accept Jesus as your savior, and intentionally 'use'him - by completely ignoring the life he wants you to live or the way he wants you to behave in your dealings with all other people.

Anyone who becomes a christian, will experience God, as a personal 1 on 1 experience, and when you meet god, and see who and what he is, you cannot help but love him, and want to please him.

And think of it from Gods point of view. He is our creator, more amazing, and intelligent, and loving than we can imagine. Do you really think he could accept any sort of relationship with his people that was based on anything less than honest and heartfelt love and a desire to please?

God does not want us to follow his laws because we want a spot in heaven. He doesn't want our prayers to be something we have to pray to him, he wants us, our heart, our soul, our minds, our love. And the only way we can possibly love god in the way that he needs, is to CHOOSE to love him. And the only way we can truly choose to love god, for who and what he is, is if it is a free choice. If our eternal life is dependent on how we interact with god, then it is not a free choice. Even if we do truly love god, there will always be the fact that we must do certain things to obtain life after death.

If god, as the epitome of love, desires that his created people love him, with all their hearts - then the only way this can be so, is if they are completely and utterly free to choose to do so. It is because I know I am forgiven and assured of eternal life in heaven, that I often find myself praying to god to help me become more like him, to place forgiveness in my heart when others wrong me, to guide me, to show me what he has planned for my life. Its the very fact that I am secure in the knowledge that I don't HAVE to do anything to prove myself to god, that leaves me feeling so free to keep trying, every day, to become more like him. I will never be perfect and I will always sin. but because I know as soon as I repent, I am forgiven, I don't ever lose hope. Rather than wallow in fear or shame, I can confidently pick myself up, and try again, and again and again.
I know that everything is always my choice. I also know, and keep learning that god only wants me to do things because they are good for me. And this means, I can stop trying to control my whole world myself, and stop trying to wonder if I will be good enough to meet gods standards or other peoples. Instead I can let god take control, and know it will all be ok. And I can feel comfortable with god, so that rather than a formal prayer - I often just talk to him. I can be myself, and admit easily my failings, even when they are things like lack of faith. Because I know that he already knows these failings, and he knew before the beginning of creating, every single sinful thing I would do, every failure... and he choose me as I am, warts, sins, and all. The fact that I know I don't have to earn gods love - in fact I could never do enough to earn it, that leaves me wonderfully free to CHOOSE to follow god.

Trust me, no person who has personally experienced the loving presence of god, would ever want to take advantage of the gift of eternal life. If a person felt that way, then in my opinion, they could not really have been saved - because they could not experience who god is, and want to intentionally and knowingly ignore him or desert him.

For me, even if god announced tomorrow that there was not going to be life after death for anyone, it was cancelled. I would still absolutely want to know him. Going to heaven will be great - but right now, to be totally honest - when I think of all the reasons I am happy to be a christian, none of them are because of the fact that I am going to heaven. I am a christian, because of how different and wonderful it is to have god personally in my life every day, and while I slip up and sin all the time, I always feel bad when I do so, and I could never imagine ever wanting to just ignore god and live my life as I did before I was a christian, - that's got nothing to do with living in heaven, its got to do with what it means to me right now, hear on earth, to have a personal relationship with my father god.

And personally, if I were god, Id much rather know that my people loved and worshiped me, not because they had to, or were trying to get a reward - but because they didn't have to at all - they just wanted to.

@jook I really dont understand your comments and your questions are frivilous, you salam but you sound like a christian, what I want to ask you is what is your aqeedah, where do you dip your cup to quench your thirst for guidance and knowledge? Muslims follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad may Allah blessings be upon him,and we believe in all of the Nabi of Allah azza wal jall.I implore you to stop shooting from the hip,do some homework, for the scriptures came in hebrew aramiac and arabic, that which is in Greek is not devinely inspired it is the words of men that has not been authenticated, and if you want to get technical the only christian are Roman catholic for it was them who implemented this thing called christianity everyone else is a cult and this is by defintion.Yahshua brought was called the way,and the Qumran community used the same term before the birth of Yahshua to describe there way of life, which consisted of full observance of the Law given to Musa May Allah have mercy on him, something that christains do not do,and I told you what your friend Paul said about The Way and what it consist of... Salaam alaikum. Also, consider that revelations were given in different languages. Do people actually think that the symbolic blood and wine of Jesus is alcoholic fermented grape juice?

Do some actually consider communion to be haraam or something out of ignorance?

Blood can be a term used for blood of grapes. Does that make Grape juice haraam?

@Believer in the Most High God, Inshallah,(Allah willing) I will answer the question that Researcher posed and this will lead me into addressing you, David and Nesreena, Allah willing. First allow me to lay this foundation that must be understood,Mary's son was not a Christian and what he brought was not Christainity, and your bible confirms these facts, and I qoute,"The disciples were called Christian first at Antioch." (acts 11:26) Now if the this is true than Mary's son was not that, it was a name given to the disciples by pagans.Next, what he brought was called the way and I quote,"Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's Disciples. He went to the High preist and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus so that if he found any there who belonged to "THE WAY," WHETHER MAN OR WOMAN,he might take them to prison." (acts 9:1-2) Now let me show you what the way consist of, for in Islam we don't accept anything without sound textual proof, and I will let Paul tell you in his words what The Way consist of, "However I (Paul) admit that I worship the God of our father's as a follower of The Way, which they call a sect. I believe every thing that agrees with The Law and all that is written in the books of the Prophets." (act 24:14) Now you must keep in mind that when Yahshua, which means, "Yahweh is our salvation" walked the earth there was no such thing as a New Testament, there was only the torah, the books of the prophets and the Talmud, inwhich the pharisee's took it upon themselves to reintepert the law, so basically Yahshua (the hebrew messiah) taught from the torah and the books of the prophets and he spoke out against the talmud, but that subject is to vast to go into now, let's stay focused. The reason why we muslims donot follow what Yahshua the hebrew messiah brought is because what he brought was for the Bani Isreal only(the children of Isreal) and I qoute, " I was ONLY sent to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal."(Matthews 15:24) So his message was for a certain group of people, not the whole of mankind, as he has told his disciples that followed THE WAY, "Donot go into the way of the Gentile, and donot enter into a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal." (matthews 10:5-6) Whereas the Rasul sws came to all of mankind and jin, his message is the completion of Allah, Most Merciful, favor to mankind and jin. Now, just to solidify my point for I know from dealing with those of your mindset that you want to go to Matthews 28:16-20,so allow me to go there with you, for the Muslims reading this answer this verse I'am about to go into is the verses those of a christian mindset use to confirm there friend Paul going to the Gentiles, thus disobeying the command of Yahshua the hebrew messiah. First, let me qoute the verses, " Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said,All authority in heaven snd on esrth has beeen given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy spirit, asnd teaching them to obey everything I commanded you.And surely I'am with you always to the very end of the age." (matthews 28:16-20)

Now let's deal with the first of Matthews errors in these verses and I will begin at verse 19 for this is the core of christains belief which goes against the torah and the books of the Prophets, I will begin with the commentary on vs 19, "Therefore: since universal power belongs to the risen christ, he gives the eleven a mission that is universal. They are to make disciple of all NATIONS. While all nationsis understood by some scholars as referring only to Gentiles, it is probable that it included the Jews as well." (New American Bible commentary) Now the verse calims that Jesus gave them the power to go to all nations,so we must grasp a clear understanding of what ALL NATONS really mean, and I will begin with the Torah.

" If you are plaesed with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this NATION is your people." (Exodus 33:13) Also, "The preist who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Isreal passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry land." Now what these two verses have in common is the word NATIONS and in the hebrew the word is GOY. Now let's define Goy: "Person, inhabitant, populace, people, tribe, nation. The plural form GOYIM is referred to the pagan nations which surrounded Isreal. The "PERJORATIVE" (applied to words whose basics meaning has changed for the worse) sense includes UNCIRCUMCISED NATIONS (jermiah9:26). Goyim were wicked (deuteronomy 9:4-5), abominable(deuteronomy 18:9 & 2 chronociles 33:2), and idolatrous (2 kings 17:29). (hebrew greek study bible)

So the hebrew word goy pertains to the nation of Isreal, while the plural of the word goyim referrs to the pagan nations, gentiles, according to the definition. Now it is a fact that Matthew's book was written in Greek, and it is a fact that Yahshua the hebrew messiah, was not Greek, nor was it his language. Now we must investagate the Greek word that Matthew used to solidify Pauls version of so called christianity, which goes against the command of Yahshua. The word in Greek is ETHNOS: " A multitude, people, race, belonging to and living together.Used for the whole race of mankind,CONSIDERED AS ONE NATION. The plural phrase TA ETHNE often carries a religious significance referring to unbelievers, those outside the covenant community.THE JEWS AS A NATION IS SOMETIME CALLED ETHNOS, BUT MOST FREQUENTLY ARE REFERRED TO AS THE LAOS THE PEOPLE." (hebrew greek study bible)

Now to sum this up; First Matthew's 10:5 uses the word Ehtnos, which is translated gentiles, and the definition is clear that Ethnos is SINGULAR, basically meaning one nation, like the whole race of mankind. This means that, according to Matthew the disciples were commanded not to go to the entire nation of gentiles,as a whole. Now beloved, in light of this,it is clear how the jews as a nation can be called Ethnos in Greek, do to the definton, as one. What is puzzling is how can this word be translated as pagan nations and apply to the Tribes of Isreal? The facts are clear that Ethnos is attributed to the tribes of Isreal as a naton by greeks, for Ethnos is a Greek word, we must not forget this one crucial fact. The book of Malachi states," Surely, I Yahweh donot change." (malachi 3:6) Now if you are of the mindset that Jesus, the Greco Roman Fabrication,as most chritians are, is Yahweh speaking in malachi, then Jesus is a liar according to Matthew. Now if you are of the mindset that Yahweh is speaking, then Yahweh is a liar according to matthew, and i seek refuge with Allah from that.Had Matthew used the plural phrase in greek Ta Ethne in matthew 28:19 then what the commentary said , which I have previously stated, would be correct, but he didnt he used Ethnos and as the commentary has stated," Ethnos is attributed to sometimes to the Tribe of Isreal. So why is not used now in matt 28:19, espescially in light of it not being attributed to Isreal makes the bible contradict it self. Im going to stop here, and give you a chance to respond; Yahshua the hebrew messiah is not Allah nor has he ever claim to be for he has stated himself and I quote,"By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me." So if he is the creator how can he do nothing by himself, how can the devil tempt his creator and offer him the kingdoms of the earth in matthew 4:8? This rheteric makes no sense... The prophet Muhammad sws was sent to mankind and not Yahshua, and we follow the example of the Seal of Prophethood sws. That whole verse in Matthews is bogus and iI have broken it all the way down to show the facade being played on the masses. Later i will go further into the verse... Salam

What other King leaves His throne? Man deserves death because of sin. Sin leads to spiritual death. Jesus came to take away the sins of man by dying on the cross. The King that created mankind came down to rescue us. Love came down to rescue man. And on the third day God raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him in Heaven at the right hand of God. So that whoever believes that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead will be saved. He came to set the captives free from the power of sin. We are not free to live a licentious life but we are free to worship the One true God-Jesus Christ. By His loving mercy and grace all who believe will inherit the Kingdom of God. We now live the life that God planed for us in advance before the foundations of the earth was laid. A purpose driven life. Once we were dead in our sins deserving of the penalty of death, now we live in Jesus and He lives in us. Our spirits have been awakened and we are no longer spiritually dead. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. What other King leaves His throne? To save the people He loves.

I'm a Christian. Jesus is a Prophet. He is not God. Just like Islam has different schools of thought, so does Christianity. The fact is, Jesus taught the truth that God revealed to him, but man misinterprets and mistranslates that truth according to his own understanding and desires. Christians of different denominations (schools of thought) believe and preach different things. Some believe in the trinity, some do not. Some say you must obey the commandments that were given to Moses, some say you do not. This doesn't matter. The Bible says Fear God and obey His commands, for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13) The Quran agrees that Jesus was the anointed prophet (3:45) and that is where Christianity originates - simply believing that the prophet Jesus was the Christ, meaning anointed, where the Jews did not believe that Jesus was a prophet at all. I am new to studying Islam, but as far as I see, Islam is correct in its understanding of who Jesus is. Many Christians have been misled
