Who do you believe Jesus is? You say He is regarded as a prophet, so why do you not follow His teachings concerning heaven, hell, and salvation?

in john 14:6, it states that Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life : no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

if that is what Jesus taught, then why is Muhammad's message the one believed, instead of Jesus, who obviously says that He is the only way? This does not make sense.

According to ur believes didnt Jesus die so all the sins of everyone can be cleared?? Basically nobody has to do nothing to go to heaven u can do as u please than go to church confess and u are all done with it? So y is there a god if god paid for our sins? Why does hell exist? How could Jesus be killed if he is god? Who made jesus come back ? If jesus was god and jesus died than how did the earth continue w/o god? I think your question is not for this site, you might have to go to a different website if you want a answer that you agree with and not an answer that is the truth.

astagfirulla. the injeel(bible) is changed many times after coming on earth and is not the original one as it was before and the only book which has not been changed is the holy book quran. so thats the reason why mohammads(s.a.w.)pbuh message is acepted.

@ Faith- I'm sorry, but your "answer" did not in any way truly answer my question. I am doing research on your religion, and just wanted some clarification on some information I had learned about Islam and did not understand. You only asked more questions and assumed my question was not for this site. I specifically used this site, knowing Muslims would answer my questions. You wrote, "you might have to go to a different website if you want a answer that you agree with and not an answer that is the truth". I do not appreciate your comment. I am doing research, as I said above, and was trying to correct a discrepancy that I found. If you are going to comment, at least answer my question. Thank you.

yes we do follow jesus teaches we belive hesent the same message as the rest of our prophits did if you notice the techings of jesus muslims are the most people who follow it jesus only ate kosher food this is equal to halal food jesus never drank niether do muslims jesus had a beard, the prophet said to grow beards as a part of worship, jesus wore loose clothing muslims wear loose clothing mary, jesus's mother covered her hair and wore loose clothing muslims wear this, jesus did not eat pork, muslims do not eat pork, jesus once prayed to the lord by putting his head to the ground as said in the bible and quran and this is the same worship that muslims do and jesus was circumsized and muslim men are circumzised muslims are the closest followers or jesus even though christianity has the name christ in it and we belive in heaven hell and salvation, so wat part of his teachings is it that we do not follow?

answered 219722 NesreenA's gravatar image

I do not think that Jesus taught to only eat kosher food, grow beards, cover your hair, not eat pork, etc..,those are things on the outside. I have never heard of those being teachings of Jesus. I believe that Jesus' teachings concerned the inside of a man,the thoughts and motivations and such, not the outside.

Christianity's teachings about heaven, and hell are different than Islam's.

For example, it seems as if Muslims believe that entry to Paradise depends on recognizing and worshiping Allah, and performing good works. Conservative Christian denominations teach that one must first be saved by trusting in Jesus as Lord and Savior before one can attain Heaven.

(Apr 17 '12 at 20:44) researcher researcher's gravatar image

@Nesreen A. Jesus didn't eat pork so it is wrong to eat pork? He didn't eat Turtle Soup nor apples either, so Muslims should not eat that by your logic. Jesus never drank? His first miracle was to make water into wine at the "party" he was at. Not only that, he drank and shared his cup at communion. Never declared he is Lord? John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." The Jews tried to stone him for claiming to be God. He also never rebuked anyone for calling him Lord or praising him. You really need ro read these Books. We don't get reward in heaven for simply stating Jesus is Saviour, we gain eternal life in heaven. The Bible says we will lose rewards in heaven (who knows what they may be) if we do bad deeds, but not eternal life.

Now to answer the question, Jesus' words are claimed to have been corrupted so his teachings were different to what the Gospels say. Muhammad is also called the final and the Great Prophet becuase supposedly restored God's original religion. In Islam, Jesus was a prophet whose words were also twisted so following his teachings pf just professing he is Christ should not get anyone into heaven because only God forgives sins.

Hope I answered it correctly from a Muslim viewpoint.

by not eating pork i mean he abstained from it he waa never offered turtule soup then said no its forbiden but pork is forbiden in the bible you just dont follow your own religion that you claim to be the truth secondly that passage was over exagerated and many christian scholars have said so and that it was translated incorrectly and an older bible in a different language would tell you that, and the wine into water thing- show me where it is in the bible give me the quotes because i never read it before i would like to see what it says myself, and when did anyone ever call him lord and he didnt say anything give me evidence of that too i and if you dont get eternal life in heaven by simply stating jesus is the savior then why does everyone keep saying so the majority of christians think so tey say jesus diesd for our sins we can do what we want because of him we jus have to belive and say he is the lord I know that people dont get reward for saying jesus is the lord that is what islam teaches us im pointing out how absurd it is that people think so you are on the right path you know tha you must work hard to recive paradise and you seem to be devout inreligion not like the type of christians that simply say they will enter heaven for claiming jesus is the lord however i dont share the same views with you about jesus and that may simply be the reason why i would like to guide you and share my views and religion with you

@Nasreen A. Turning water to wine: John 2:1-11. Jesus did not deny claiming to be God when the Jews in John 10:33 wanted to stone him for claiming to be so; he simply went on to claim God is in him and he is in God. In Mark 1-11 Jesus is riding into town on his Colt and the people are praising him and worshipping him. He does not say "All praise should be to Allah" or anything. I don't know how you miss these verses if you actually read the books. Tell me, where does Jesus say pork is forbidden, in my religion? About our good deeds, If you believe Isaiah was not corrupted by the Jews, then Isaiah 64:6 tells us "All our righteous acts are like filthy rags." Not just that, do you as a mere sinful human by nature think you can make yourself worthy before an eternal, all-knowing, all-mighty and great God? God does not NEED us, he can make perfect, sinless ones as simple as anything. I find it bold when someone claims they can be good enough for God. Christians are more righteous because we can admit that we are hopeless, that our righteous acts are like filthy rags, we are sinful and incapable of making ourselves worthy of God, and that we rely solely on his mercy to gain everlasting life with him. All other religions claim "we can make ourselves worthy for God by doing certain acts." The Ten Commandments in the Old Testament where there to show the Jews they could not be righteous enough to enter heaven, and that they needed a saviour. The only thing we as humans have is faith. And believe me, it IS hard work to keep professing Christ to be saviour throughout your entire life regardless of the conditions. It is not as simple as it sounds. Imagine the eary Christians and how hard it was for them to remain faithful under the persecution of Nero, whom even burnt Christians in his garden as a source of light. Holding faith until the end is hard work. The Bible says faith pleases God. I never said we do not get eternal life in heaven by stating Christ as our saviour. You must have misread my comment. I have never heard a Christian scholar claim the verse where Jesus claims he and the Father are one is incorrect or overexaggerated. It has been translated correctly; we have had 2000 years to translate one simple sentence. You can't claim I don't follow my own religion because you firstly do not know my life and secondly there is nothing to do except profess Jesus as our saviour. Christians do good deeds not because they have to, but because they WANT to. No Christian lives a sinful life, simply because they have been transformed by the Holy Spirit upon professing Jesus to be saviour. Yes, we can technically live a sinful life even as Christians but that never happens because a Christian does not want to. God knows that all too well, once we experience him he knows we never want to forsake him.

(Apr 18 '12 at 20:18) David David's gravatar image this is from a christian website it wasent made up by muslims it was people from your own religion admitting pork it that makes me wonder what else are you wrong about.....oh ill say about everything you just said the way you think is like that human beings are worthless, why would god create somthing that is worthless why would christians be rewarded heaven for doing nothing or worse than nothing sinning all their lives then saying jesus is our savior then you go to heaven? thats absurd and being christian dosent gurentee you paradise you said we can technically sin all we want and why is that like i said in the first place chistians think they can sin all they want cause jesus saved them then you denied it but you just said it yourself of course somone following a contradictory book is gonna contradict their self, you are what you follow right? its hard to say jesus is your lord? manye its cause its not true and is it as hard as worshipping no you are just like the other christians "ïll go yo heaven no matter what cause im christian" thats pathetic

@Nasreem A. Ok, Nasreem... We have started our own discussion here instead of trying to answer the question, so this will be my last comment here. English is evidently not your native language, so I think our problem is that you did not understood everything I said. Also, I only just realised there is a lot you do not know; I assumed you had lots of knowledge on what we discussed.

Firstly, there is a difference between Judaism and Christianity. All the examples on the link you sent me about pork being prohibited are from the OLD Testament, meaning in JUDAISM. All the examples of all food being allowed are from the NEW Testament, meaning in CHRISTIANITY. As Christians, we are not under the Old Covenant of Judaism, but under the New Covenant. My point is, pork is not prohibited in Christianity but is prohibited in Judaism, which is common knowledge. So, you need to learn more about our religion before claiming we are not following it.

I never contradicted myself, you did not read through properly nor double check my comment. In my previous comments I disproved just about everything you said about Christ, so now you begin making hate comments and spew out nonsense without any evidence.

Let me try to explain, again. All Christians' sins are covered because of Jesus' sacrifice. When a person becomes a Christian, they can live however well they please. BUT, the thing is that no Christian will live an ungodly life because of CHOICE. If a Christian is living sinfully and knows it then they are not a Christian by heart. A Christian will do good deeds and abstain from sin because they WANT to, because of their love for Christ. The Ten Commandments were there to show us we could not be perfect. God knows himself that there will not be a true Christian who is living sinfully, that is why he does not need to give us new commandments. Jesus claimed himself he has not come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it (Matthew 5:17). Remember, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6) The reason God forgives our sins through Christ is explained here, in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." He loves us, so he has given Jew and Gentile alike the same opportunity to get to live with him for all eternity. No strings attached, just one simple condition: believe that God came down as a human and sacrificed himself upon the cross for our sins, because of love, because of mercy, because we cannot get to heaven by our own deeds: "All our righteous acts are like filthy rags." (Isaiah 64:6) It is pride that makes us think we can please God through our acts. Why do you think the Jews constantly made sacrifices to God? Because they had to constantly ask for his mercy.

You should read Paul's letters to the various Churches during his age, he explains all your questions very, very well (Romans, my favourite, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus, and Philemon are all of them.)

Now, enough chit chat, I got questions to ask.

@NesreenA jews and christians will be never pleased with muslims al baqarah 2:[120-121]. so even if you give your best to teach them that jesus is just a prophet like other prophets they will not believe you and infact will puzzle you more and more. so dear let it be our main aim is just to say that jesus is just a prophet of Allah and not a god and we did its up to them whether they accept it or not.Allah knows the best.

@NesreenA- You asked David not to assume anything about being from a different country or about English not being your native language. I think you gave him the right to assume that from your spelling and grammar. If you have lived in America all your life, don't you think you could give a little more effort to using correct spelling and grammar, as well as some punctuation?

I found your answers harder to read and understand than the other answers because of these factors. It was hard to tell where the sentences ended and began. Please do us all a favor and write a little more comprehensibly. Thank you.

Also, I only wanted to do research on your religion and find some answers for my questions and some clarification for information I had found on your religion. I did not appreciate your attitude. You were rude and belligerent towards David, whomever he may be. If that is a typical Muslim woman's attitude, it is not a good one.

I'm a Christian. Jesus is a Prophet. He is not God. Just like Islam has different schools of thought, so does Christianity. The fact is, Jesus taught the truth that God revealed to him, but man misinterprets and mistranslates that truth according to his own understanding and desires. Christians of different denominations (schools of thought) believe and preach different things. Some believe in the trinity, some do not. Some say you must obey the commandments that were given to Moses, some say you do not. This doesn't matter. The Bible says Fear God and obey His commands, for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13) The Quran agrees that Jesus was the anointed prophet (3:45) and that is where Christianity originates - simply believing that the prophet Jesus was the Christ, meaning anointed, where the Jews did not believe that Jesus was a prophet at all. I am new to studying Islam, but as far as I see, Islam is correct in its understanding of who Jesus is. Many Christians have been misled

What other King leaves His throne? Man deserves death because of sin. Sin leads to spiritual death. Jesus came to take away the sins of man by dying on the cross. The King that created mankind came down to rescue us. Love came down to rescue man. And on the third day God raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him in Heaven at the right hand of God. So that whoever believes that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead will be saved. He came to set the captives free from the power of sin. We are not free to live a licentious life but we are free to worship the One true God-Jesus Christ. By His loving mercy and grace all who believe will inherit the Kingdom of God. We now live the life that God planed for us in advance before the foundations of the earth was laid. A purpose driven life. Once we were dead in our sins deserving of the penalty of death, now we live in Jesus and He lives in us. Our spirits have been awakened and we are no longer spiritually dead. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. What other King leaves His throne? To save the people He loves.

@Believer in the Most High God, Inshallah,(Allah willing) I will answer the question that Researcher posed and this will lead me into addressing you, David and Nesreena, Allah willing. First allow me to lay this foundation that must be understood,Mary's son was not a Christian and what he brought was not Christainity, and your bible confirms these facts, and I qoute,"The disciples were called Christian first at Antioch." (acts 11:26) Now if the this is true than Mary's son was not that, it was a name given to the disciples by pagans.Next, what he brought was called the way and I quote,"Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's Disciples. He went to the High preist and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus so that if he found any there who belonged to "THE WAY," WHETHER MAN OR WOMAN,he might take them to prison." (acts 9:1-2) Now let me show you what the way consist of, for in Islam we don't accept anything without sound textual proof, and I will let Paul tell you in his words what The Way consist of, "However I (Paul) admit that I worship the God of our father's as a follower of The Way, which they call a sect. I believe every thing that agrees with The Law and all that is written in the books of the Prophets." (act 24:14) Now you must keep in mind that when Yahshua, which means, "Yahweh is our salvation" walked the earth there was no such thing as a New Testament, there was only the torah, the books of the prophets and the Talmud, inwhich the pharisee's took it upon themselves to reintepert the law, so basically Yahshua (the hebrew messiah) taught from the torah and the books of the prophets and he spoke out against the talmud, but that subject is to vast to go into now, let's stay focused. The reason why we muslims donot follow what Yahshua the hebrew messiah brought is because what he brought was for the Bani Isreal only(the children of Isreal) and I qoute, " I was ONLY sent to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal."(Matthews 15:24) So his message was for a certain group of people, not the whole of mankind, as he has told his disciples that followed THE WAY, "Donot go into the way of the Gentile, and donot enter into a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal." (matthews 10:5-6) Whereas the Rasul sws came to all of mankind and jin, his message is the completion of Allah, Most Merciful, favor to mankind and jin. Now, just to solidify my point for I know from dealing with those of your mindset that you want to go to Matthews 28:16-20,so allow me to go there with you, for the Muslims reading this answer this verse I'am about to go into is the verses those of a christian mindset use to confirm there friend Paul going to the Gentiles, thus disobeying the command of Yahshua the hebrew messiah. First, let me qoute the verses, " Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said,All authority in heaven snd on esrth has beeen given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy spirit, asnd teaching them to obey everything I commanded you.And surely I'am with you always to the very end of the age." (matthews 28:16-20)

Now let's deal with the first of Matthews errors in these verses and I will begin at verse 19 for this is the core of christains belief which goes against the torah and the books of the Prophets, I will begin with the commentary on vs 19, "Therefore: since universal power belongs to the risen christ, he gives the eleven a mission that is universal. They are to make disciple of all NATIONS. While all nationsis understood by some scholars as referring only to Gentiles, it is probable that it included the Jews as well." (New American Bible commentary) Now the verse calims that Jesus gave them the power to go to all nations,so we must grasp a clear understanding of what ALL NATONS really mean, and I will begin with the Torah.

" If you are plaesed with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this NATION is your people." (Exodus 33:13) Also, "The preist who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Isreal passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry land." Now what these two verses have in common is the word NATIONS and in the hebrew the word is GOY. Now let's define Goy: "Person, inhabitant, populace, people, tribe, nation. The plural form GOYIM is referred to the pagan nations which surrounded Isreal. The "PERJORATIVE" (applied to words whose basics meaning has changed for the worse) sense includes UNCIRCUMCISED NATIONS (jermiah9:26). Goyim were wicked (deuteronomy 9:4-5), abominable(deuteronomy 18:9 & 2 chronociles 33:2), and idolatrous (2 kings 17:29). (hebrew greek study bible)

So the hebrew word goy pertains to the nation of Isreal, while the plural of the word goyim referrs to the pagan nations, gentiles, according to the definition. Now it is a fact that Matthew's book was written in Greek, and it is a fact that Yahshua the hebrew messiah, was not Greek, nor was it his language. Now we must investagate the Greek word that Matthew used to solidify Pauls version of so called christianity, which goes against the command of Yahshua. The word in Greek is ETHNOS: " A multitude, people, race, belonging to and living together.Used for the whole race of mankind,CONSIDERED AS ONE NATION. The plural phrase TA ETHNE often carries a religious significance referring to unbelievers, those outside the covenant community.THE JEWS AS A NATION IS SOMETIME CALLED ETHNOS, BUT MOST FREQUENTLY ARE REFERRED TO AS THE LAOS THE PEOPLE." (hebrew greek study bible)

Now to sum this up; First Matthew's 10:5 uses the word Ehtnos, which is translated gentiles, and the definition is clear that Ethnos is SINGULAR, basically meaning one nation, like the whole race of mankind. This means that, according to Matthew the disciples were commanded not to go to the entire nation of gentiles,as a whole. Now beloved, in light of this,it is clear how the jews as a nation can be called Ethnos in Greek, do to the definton, as one. What is puzzling is how can this word be translated as pagan nations and apply to the Tribes of Isreal? The facts are clear that Ethnos is attributed to the tribes of Isreal as a naton by greeks, for Ethnos is a Greek word, we must not forget this one crucial fact. The book of Malachi states," Surely, I Yahweh donot change." (malachi 3:6) Now if you are of the mindset that Jesus, the Greco Roman Fabrication,as most chritians are, is Yahweh speaking in malachi, then Jesus is a liar according to Matthew. Now if you are of the mindset that Yahweh is speaking, then Yahweh is a liar according to matthew, and i seek refuge with Allah from that.Had Matthew used the plural phrase in greek Ta Ethne in matthew 28:19 then what the commentary said , which I have previously stated, would be correct, but he didnt he used Ethnos and as the commentary has stated," Ethnos is attributed to sometimes to the Tribe of Isreal. So why is not used now in matt 28:19, espescially in light of it not being attributed to Isreal makes the bible contradict it self. Im going to stop here, and give you a chance to respond; Yahshua the hebrew messiah is not Allah nor has he ever claim to be for he has stated himself and I quote,"By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me." So if he is the creator how can he do nothing by himself, how can the devil tempt his creator and offer him the kingdoms of the earth in matthew 4:8? This rheteric makes no sense... The prophet Muhammad sws was sent to mankind and not Yahshua, and we follow the example of the Seal of Prophethood sws. That whole verse in Matthews is bogus and iI have broken it all the way down to show the facade being played on the masses. Later i will go further into the verse... Salam

Salaam alaikum. Also, consider that revelations were given in different languages. Do people actually think that the symbolic blood and wine of Jesus is alcoholic fermented grape juice?

Do some actually consider communion to be haraam or something out of ignorance?

Blood can be a term used for blood of grapes. Does that make Grape juice haraam?

Id like to comment on a couple of comments people have made about the idea that Christians think they just get a free ride to heaven if they become a christian, and how I believe it works (when I say I believe, I should say, how it worked for me in my experience, and for the other Christians I know)

Before I get onto that though, I would ask everyone reading this to consider this hypothetical situation:

Have you ever had a friend, or a mentor, who was a person you looked up to? Someone who always knew the right thing to say, who did the right thing, said the right thing, had the perfect advice, and who everyone around you looked up to and respected. Someone who always did everything right, and who made you feel like you were really important, and worthwhile, even if you had made a mistake. Someone who made you feel that you were important, and encouraged you, made you feel that you could succeed at anything you put your mind to. Someone who made you feel good about yourself, and who made you feel secure, and appreciated.

Did you ever find yourself wanting to impress that person? To please them? To find some way to thank them for all the good things they brought into your life?

And, if someone suddenly came to you and said - just for fun, lets steal from this person, or lets go to their house and break their most precious belongings. Or even - lets just lie to them and say "I need money and I will pay it back" even though I don't need the money - and i wont try and pay it back.

Most people I know would not want to do anything to disappoint or hurt a person who they respect and look up to. And if that person they respect, has shown that they believe in you, then usually you want to make them proud of you, you want to do well

In short, if there is a person who you respect, and admire and look up to, isn't it most likely that you would want to please them

In fact, when you admire, respect and like someone - dnt you often try to be a little bit more like them - to demonstrate the characteristics that you admire?

For a person to become a christian, they have to genuinely and sincerely accept Jesus into their life. If you do so, he comes into your life as a personal experience, you can feel he is there. And he does wonderful things for you. It is not possible, to GENUINELY accept Jesus as your savior, and intentionally 'use'him - by completely ignoring the life he wants you to live or the way he wants you to behave in your dealings with all other people.

Anyone who becomes a christian, will experience God, as a personal 1 on 1 experience, and when you meet god, and see who and what he is, you cannot help but love him, and want to please him.

And think of it from Gods point of view. He is our creator, more amazing, and intelligent, and loving than we can imagine. Do you really think he could accept any sort of relationship with his people that was based on anything less than honest and heartfelt love and a desire to please?

God does not want us to follow his laws because we want a spot in heaven. He doesn't want our prayers to be something we have to pray to him, he wants us, our heart, our soul, our minds, our love. And the only way we can possibly love god in the way that he needs, is to CHOOSE to love him. And the only way we can truly choose to love god, for who and what he is, is if it is a free choice. If our eternal life is dependent on how we interact with god, then it is not a free choice. Even if we do truly love god, there will always be the fact that we must do certain things to obtain life after death.

If god, as the epitome of love, desires that his created people love him, with all their hearts - then the only way this can be so, is if they are completely and utterly free to choose to do so. It is because I know I am forgiven and assured of eternal life in heaven, that I often find myself praying to god to help me become more like him, to place forgiveness in my heart when others wrong me, to guide me, to show me what he has planned for my life. Its the very fact that I am secure in the knowledge that I don't HAVE to do anything to prove myself to god, that leaves me feeling so free to keep trying, every day, to become more like him. I will never be perfect and I will always sin. but because I know as soon as I repent, I am forgiven, I don't ever lose hope. Rather than wallow in fear or shame, I can confidently pick myself up, and try again, and again and again.
I know that everything is always my choice. I also know, and keep learning that god only wants me to do things because they are good for me. And this means, I can stop trying to control my whole world myself, and stop trying to wonder if I will be good enough to meet gods standards or other peoples. Instead I can let god take control, and know it will all be ok. And I can feel comfortable with god, so that rather than a formal prayer - I often just talk to him. I can be myself, and admit easily my failings, even when they are things like lack of faith. Because I know that he already knows these failings, and he knew before the beginning of creating, every single sinful thing I would do, every failure... and he choose me as I am, warts, sins, and all. The fact that I know I don't have to earn gods love - in fact I could never do enough to earn it, that leaves me wonderfully free to CHOOSE to follow god.

Trust me, no person who has personally experienced the loving presence of god, would ever want to take advantage of the gift of eternal life. If a person felt that way, then in my opinion, they could not really have been saved - because they could not experience who god is, and want to intentionally and knowingly ignore him or desert him.

For me, even if god announced tomorrow that there was not going to be life after death for anyone, it was cancelled. I would still absolutely want to know him. Going to heaven will be great - but right now, to be totally honest - when I think of all the reasons I am happy to be a christian, none of them are because of the fact that I am going to heaven. I am a christian, because of how different and wonderful it is to have god personally in my life every day, and while I slip up and sin all the time, I always feel bad when I do so, and I could never imagine ever wanting to just ignore god and live my life as I did before I was a christian, - that's got nothing to do with living in heaven, its got to do with what it means to me right now, hear on earth, to have a personal relationship with my father god.

And personally, if I were god, Id much rather know that my people loved and worshiped me, not because they had to, or were trying to get a reward - but because they didn't have to at all - they just wanted to.

The message of eternal life given in the new testament of the bible is to believe in God and in Jesus Christ.

The muslims believe in God and in all of his prophets.

So how could a muslim not be saved?

From what I have seen, it seems that many are presented with the truth through the good news, and they believe, but then many of them turn away to false doctrines taught by men, things such as believing in a trinity.
