the crying is not the question. it is the illness it's self. why give a child polio?

so a child is stricken with illness because of the father's sin? and you say your god is 'just'. lol.

We live in a fallen world which started with the sin of Adam & Eve and continues through all generations since that time. The result is natural disasters, sickness, death.

As to life after death, ask him to search the internet for near death experiences of atheists, that may open his mind to the reality of consciousness after death of the body.

Hell is separation from God for those who want nothing to do with Him as demonstrated by the life that they lived on His creation.

Creation and conscience (our sense of right and wrong) show is there is a creator. Ask him to look up the statistical probability of the most simple DNA strand occurring by random chance as evolution suggests.

God can reveal himself by dreams and visions to those who have not seen the written words of God.

He can read the book "You can lead an atheist to evidence but you can't make him think" by Ray Comfort.

“Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does. It is up to you to give [life] a meaning.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre

Again very silly question (from the atheist). This is very weak instead of blaming for the sins on our part we blame Allah. This is like saying teacher I have already failed since you told me I was,not working hard enough for the exam. Seriously, the blame game has to stop. We are responsible for our own actions no one told him to be the atheist in the first place but he chose what was "better" for him in his own perspective.

Now addressing the "sense" in the question posed by the atheist is very easy.

Pedophiles: because people chose to be pedophiles

Rape: because people choose to rape. They aren't obliged to rape.

Slavery: because people endorse slavery themselves. They aren't obliged to make them slaves but in fact better to set them free.

Starving children: because the government chose not be responsible for providing food and shelter. And where is the aid by foreign countries going?

Crusades: because Christians chose to crusade; they don't have to do it there are peaceful options.

Natural disasters:

1.Natural disasters are punishment of Allah for those people who are either disbelievers or cross His limits

2.Natural disasters are warning for those who are sinners

3.Natural disasters are test for those who are believers.

When sins like those you have mentioned happens then punishment is waiting of them. And when disaster befalls then they question "why Allah is unjust?" which pure ignorance.

So We took retribution from them. We drowned them in the sea, because they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless about them.[7:136]

All the points I mentioned the common word is "chose" because they chose the devil guidance, and Allah's wrath.

Here is the reason menioned:

Aforetime, as a guidance to mankind, And He sent down the criterion [of judgement between right and wrong (this Quran)]. Truly, those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, for them there is a severe torment; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.[3:4]

Natural disaster is separate discussion because only Allah has power over it. These calamities also highlight how weak we are against them, and that we should repent and fortify our imaan.

Q1. To the atheist if he believes there is no Allah then there is no point in having death. And if there is no Allah (for argument sake) then death is end i.e. nothing after it. This implies that there is no point of him existing in the first place.

Q2. What was he before the sperm and egg even fused? He was nothing, not even a thing worth mentioning (neither his parents knew him not). This is in the Quran: Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned?[76:1]

Q3. I have posted diagrams in this discussion ( to make it easy for you. Make him reason himself.

Therefore by logic there are 2 deaths and 2 lives. If only they recognized Allah they will become greatest supporters of Islam from the staunches enemies.

Jazakallah Khair

There is cruelty in this world mainly because when The evil shaytan or devil had disobeyed his creator Allah, the shaytan had told god he would try hard to make all human beings or children of Adam that he would make them sway to the evil side. Allah is no wishing star that people ask for to make things all better. Allah takes and gives, Allah gives tests that leads to punishments or rewards. Allah is the greatest. There is natural disasters from punishments to the people for their disobeying, like for example, in the Quran there was a city in the Middle East where prophet Lut peace be upon him had been trying to give the true message of islam. The land was full of evil people, murder, homosexuals, rape, greediness all evil things of today. Allah made a natural disaster to punish all of them, they're considered miracles brother. Allah brings the child disease to test the family, to give them rewards in the afterlife or punishments in hell, for example a man and women their son was born with a disability and the parents don't take care of them, this was AtleSt to them and Allah will punish them, if they're good to him, they'll be rewarded if not in this life the next. There is also life itself, Allah controls it there can be genetic problems and natural problems all on the will of Allah, you can either love and live with it or hate and leave it to go to hell. Allah is truly the greatest. I hope your friend is brought back to islam.

natural disaster = miracle. that's a new one to me. although I did read your boy Muhammad al-munajjid say the 2004 tsunami was a punishment from god for people celebrating Christmas and new years.

let's drown the children for 'justice'.

funny, many people said how stupid pat Robertson was when he said the Haitian earthquake was a punishment from god, I don't remember an muslims coming to his defense. strange that earthquakes seem to always happen in the same places? lol.

Allah made life for people to be happy and to also suffer, making it a mix of hell and heaven. Follow your faith and you'll find the lights of heaven and get much greater than expected. Disbelieve and you'll be in a place unlike heaven worse.

funny i read a hadith the other day that said: "anyone who goes down the road seeking knowledge, will also go down the road to paradise" something like that. so that doesn't really mean anyone, right? it should read any muslim. correct?
