Now updated: Ramadan calendar -

Hello, Tomorrow is the first day of Ramadan, so I thought it was. Now I'm hearing things like Saudi and all Arab countries are fasting on Sunday the 29th. My question is do we (America/ North America) fast with what we are saying or fast with Saudi? why, also are there two different dates in the first place. The Islamic calendar is based on the moon and its waxing period, so don't we see the same moon.

Al Salam Alaikom, this question requires a fatwah (ruling) from a trusted source; so I guess its question goes to a trusted source in your community/country. May Allah bless.
