Asalam alaikum,my name is su'udiya.am a 20yr old girl.am an islamic student.Alhamdullilah Allah has enabled me to practise significant amount of the wajibat but i have only one problem.lately i have been trying to work on improving my character but my big sister is rilly trying my patience.she takes things of mine without asking me first.i feel that is an inconsideration and luck of respect for others property.i tried to tok to her and i even told my mum(i know it sounds childish but she's in charge!) but to them both am the bad guy and am very stingy with my staff.they dont get why they gotta ask if they need something.dont get me wrong,am not stingy,a true believer would never be stingy.i wud never say no if she asked.all i want her to do is inform me if she has made plans to take any of my staff incase i havent made the same plans.does that make me a bad muslim?am i wrong in asking for a little respect from my sister? Should i just let it go? Ussualy i don get angry just cause, but when she does this, my blood boils,i just dont know why.i feel rilly bad cause there might be a chance that am wronging her by not letting her take things she wants from me whenever she does without asking.maybe am wrong.please help.i gotta change this.tell me what to do.ita rilly urgent

Walaikum asalam, it is wrong to take anything without permission since that becomes 'stealing', but this happens alot in families as 'sharing' and you should practice tolerance and patience even if what they are doing is wrong. Qur'an (5:38) - "As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power." Perhaps if explaining to them the wrong in their actions does not work, you could keep your items under lock and key or hiding so that when they can't find it they shall have to ask you. Hope this helped :)
