Is it true that a muslim man must obey his family, specially mom, and should not get married if family is against it? For example mom thinks that the woman is not good enough for her son.

 After obedience to Allah and RasoolAllah (SAW), obedience to parents is foremost. Allah Commands that one must be kind to one's parents - and this is by being submissive to them.

I still think that man has a right to choose his future wife and parents should respect his choice. Is there any specific reasons when parents can refuse and he must obey them?

Allah know what is right and He Allah give wife therefore mom have to suggest but not to choose wife for son if he do not love the person
