Do I have to start a fast while I am tahir/clean?

1	Do I have to start a fast while I am tahir/clean? If I don't would it invalidate my fast?

4	Yes..Surely The Holy Quran says : O Believers! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for the people before you so that you may become pious. Surah Baq arah (2:183)..

1	I read a hadith that you don't need to perform ghusl before starting your fast. You can do it later in the day.
