Salaam aleykum. My father married a 2nd wife 5 years ago. He has now, by the grace of Allah, 2 children: my half siblings. My mother and father haven't spoken in these years, and have failed to be reconciled. She has now instructed me to NEVER meet my half siblings... Islam is intent on strengthening family ties, & I personally feel like meetin them as well. I am confused what to follow, and what to sacrifice. What is Islam's ruling here? Jazakallah. May we all be guided Inshallah. |

In this case you should reason with your mother by using this argument you have here. If she still doesn't agree, she is your mother, and you must respect her wishes. |
