My mother, who lives in Pakistan and does not have any source of income, has 6.5 tola gold (1 tola = 11.6625 grams)and PKR 100,000 savings in her posession for the whole year. She does not have any silver. Current Gold rate in Pakistan: 1 tola Gold = PKR 57,150 My qustions are: Will zakat apply to her? If not, on what basis? If yes, how it will be calculated? |
