Now updated: Ramadan calendar -

Isn't Islam stronger than any Moron with Access to the Internet? Some people are acting like their Faith's Existence is threatened and acting very un-Islamic.

From my Brief Readings, the Koran, through Mohammed speaks against harming the innocent. Ayatollah Khomeini put a "fatwah" on Salman Rushdie for Satanic Verses but they didn't kill unrelated persons for this book. (I don't agree with the Fatwah, but at least it was focused on the person who produced the "offending Material".)

People within the Community have to say "We are stronger than this, we don't need to react to every "Flea's Bite". Besides it doesn't help convince people who has an opinion yet to be formed about Islam. The Community might also mention how many Mosques are in the United States and how many Muslims practice their faith here. Thanks for your time.

i taught muslim was about peace im a devout catholic but i also take time to read the koran i've never come across a passage which said violence is the best answer one man's action does not mean the entire muslim world should create an uproar you muslims insult our religion but we dont go about torching buildings . now the whole world looks at muslims with disdain how can u go about torching ur own buildings. no offence your prophet was insulted but his teachings require you to ignore this rather u decided to embarass ur selfs and increase the stigma following ur religion . i hope u guys change ur heart & let peace or else insulting mohammed will become a norm in our society.

Tafsir for Surah Al-Muzzammil [73:10]: "...Do not have intimate and friendly relations with them: disregard their foolish behavior and their nonsense." However, you should do so without showing any grief, anger or temper but gracefully like a noble person, who would disregard the abusive remarks of a mean person without minding them at all. This should not create the misunderstanding that the Holy Prophet's conduct was any different from it; therefore, Allah gave him this instruction. As a matter of fact, the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) was already following this very mode of conduct; this instruction was given in the Qur'an so as to tell the disbelievers: "It is not due to any weakness on the part of the Prophet that he is not responding to what you are saying against him, but Allah Himself has taught His Messenger to adopt this noble way of conduct in response to your foolish behavior. Keep in mind that your mother is just one individual who is beloved to you. If someone insult your beloved one (e.x your father/mother/wife) how would you react?

I agree with you.

Also, People in the community do say "We are stronger than this, we don't need to..."

People in the community in the West and even more so in the East. But some people don't listen to anyone but satan. It's like win Pgh won the superbowl. Why did they riot in the streets of pittsburgh? Why would you riot and destroy your own city when you WON??? Some things just don't make sense but when enough stupid people get together.. i guess anything is possible.

It makes me very sad to here what is happening in the news.
